Nov 11 (Mon) 7:00 PM vs FGCU KP: 213
Projected 5th finish in the A-SUN. They return only 2 starters from last year after finishing 3rd not bad for a first year coach though. They play a lot like Enfield's Dunk City teams. This will be an interesting contrast to the Big Green's Ivy league style.

The Big Green are hosting the Eagles in Hanover today and are expected to be victorious. That's what the Bulls thought on Friday. There are no guarantees in college basketball and there isn't a historical home court advantage for Dartmouth. That said if we come with the same intensity and defense as Friday, then KenPom's projection (74-66 78%) is the likely outcome. I think our recent taste of victory will overcome the Eagles will to win.

If our defense is on par with Friday it should be easy to limit the threat of the Eagles top four guys.

Zach Scott: Creates much of his value at the free throw line. Good three point shooter. Limit catch and shoot chances, and make him beat you off the dribble. Prone to take inefficient mid-range attempts. Struggles to finish around the rim in half court settings, but effective at the free throw line.

Caleb Catto: Creates much of his value at the free throw line. Good three point shooter. Limit catch and shoot chances, and make him beat you off the dribble.

Jalen Warren Scores around the rim in half court settings. Creates much of his value at the free throw line. Prone to take inefficient mid-range attempts. Better scoring at the rim than shooting the jump shot.

Jalen Harper: Limit catch and shoot chances, and make him beat you off the dribble. Prone to take inefficient mid-range attempts. Struggles to finish around the rim in half court settings.

Terrifying three point shooter. Preventing his three point chances should be a top priority.

I expect the Eagles to play a lot like Buffalo did. That being trying to leverage their athleticism and rely less on structured offense. The Big Green did really well by sticking to the game plan which back doored the Bulls routinely and stopped them consistently.

Let the game begin!!!

Dartmouth 29 FGCU 29 HALF

So far, not nearly as fun as the Buffalo game.

Foye has knocked down three 3's and leads the scoring with 11.

Knight is getting good looks, but missing from close (he's 3-9). Rai and Samuels both scoreless.

If Knight is 6-9 instead of 3-9 it's a different game. They have to double down and leave a shooter open. Right now they're guarding him straight up and they haven't paid the price yet.

Also, our perimeter defense has been a bit soft. FGCU doesn't have much of an inside game. Would be nice to see us up the intensity and get a couple of steals.

Dartmouth's 12-0 run to start the half is a pretty good plan.

Just what the doctor ordered. A 12-0 start to the second half. 6 for Knight and two 3's for Ary-Turner to give him 9.

Rai with 7 quick points to keep FGCU at bay, at least temporarily.

Knight still struggling from the field (5-14).

Sistare 0-fer.

Not Knight's night. 5 for 17.

Wasn't pretty. But Dartmouth is 2-0 and wins another close one.

Rai gets POTG for 10 second half points.

Samuels, who scored 16 against Buffalo, was discombobulated and scoreless.

Knight missed a bunch of bunnies, but led the team with 13.

The 6'4" Sistare was off, 0-6 from the field, but top rebounder for the second game in a row.

Positive contributions from Paul Hudson and Ian Clark off the bench.

2-0 for the first time this century! Yikes.

Last time was 1996-97 (Sea Lonergan's senior year). They finished 18-8 and second in the league.
