Hofstra rebounded from its mystifying loss to SJ State, with a 20 point home win over Monmouth on Saturday night. This should be a good game, definitely winnable, but it figures to be competitive.

King Rice was at the game against Vermont yesterday. Let's hope he passed along some lessons learned afterwards.

If Bucknell tries to run with Hofstra, they won't be able to keep up. Conversely, if they play heavy D then they will be out of luck there. Hofstra by 15. I hope Bucknell pulls it off, but I don't see how. I predict Hofstra 77-59.

On the pregame show, Coach Davis said Avi Toomer will be out tonight but they hope for him to return Saturday at Canisius.

No. And the young Ref, who looks like he is 16 and refs like he’s 6, is totally incompetent. Should be doing HS JV games.

Any ref who can provoke a “T†out of ND has got to be bad.

Sorry to say this but I struggle to see what value Robertson provides out there. He just is very limited offensively and doesn’t defend terribly well. Surprised JVD isn’t getting any run.

I did overestimate Hofstra. Bucknell played well and its nice to see it rain threes. Funk played well as did all the youngsters. It was nice to see a glimmer of Bucknell using the clock near the end. Toomer will probably come in for Robertson Saturday.

Well Phillie had the point spread right!
Gotta say though, if we shot threes like we did on Sunday, it is a different story. Nice win though!

Ha Ha I did feel negative before the game but Bucknell's young team and Hofstra's bad team proved me wrong. Rice, Spear, Ellis, Funk, the future looks bright!

Good to see shots fall and other than turnovers in first half and giving up quite a bit of penetration, we played pretty well. If we have just an average shooting night it is a different game but overall it was a good win. I don’t think Hofstra is a bad team at all, they have some really good players. We just played pretty well and hit threes. Newman did a great job on the glass. I said before the season that Sotos was the Bison’s best pick to land on one of the All-PL teams and so far I’m feeling good about that pick.
