Point spread says it all how Vegas views Lafayette game as being competitive. Tigers barely won last year's game by 2 with Cannady scoring 24. In only 2 games this year, Lafayette has been a high FG and FT% team with a lot of assists and turnovers. They shoot a lot of 3s' but at a 33% clip. They share the ball, hustle although not athletically gifted. No star player but a balanced team -- best player is 6'8" senior who averages 14/11 although Arirguzoh should be able to handle him inside.

Unlike the first two games, Lafayette poses less issues from athletic standpoint but they play team defense and Tigers will have to adjust. This game is probably going to be pretty darn challenging, sad to say, but let's hope not. If the Tigers play well, they should win but ....

After looking at Nets development league team video, the Tigers sorely miss the shooting of Cannady. His stroke is back in the pro league and it is indeed deadly.

Plan to be at the game and will try to find out what is going with Wright and some other players.

You can't lose two of the top talents in the League in Stephens and Cannady and not really feel it. Indeed, in the last 3 years, no Ivy team has graduated more talent than Princeton, which lost in successive years, Weisz, Cook and Caruso, Bell and then Stephens and Cannady--the core of the last Ivy undefeated team.

Right now (2:00PM) 82% of the point spread bets are on the Leopards.

All arirguzoh so far. No schwiegger no Gladson no Barnes. Good defense - poor 3 pt shooting with open looks. Turnovers by young guys. Offense is a PROBLEM. Jaelin nothing yet.

Not much defense. I should have taken the "over".

Walk away from tonight. Arirguzoh and Friberg played reasonably well and Morales was a spark. Everyone else played poorly. Lafayette played like a team and had fire. Tigers played dead in the 1st half and there is a lack of fire and leadership based on my observations. Quite honestly, I do not think that there is going to be a significant turn around with this team but hope that I am wrong. Schweigger should help especially getting Johns/Wright off the court as the two of them have no confidence in their offensive game and a bit lazy on defense. Tigers are not good enough to take any plays off. EMBARASSING LOSS!

Women Tiger BB were at the game and they seem to have a lot of camaraderie and fun with each other. They have a big game Friday night.

Someone shared with me that Cannady was on campus and he plans on completing his degree. Devin shared with someone close to the program that he is most proud of the defense that he is playing in the developmental league. Based on his athleticism, he could have played better defense with the Tigers but did not make the commitment but now, he must. Sounds like he is doing well and has put it all together -- let's hope. Wish him the best!

Not going to get too upset about losing when the other team starts 9-11 from three, but now 0-3 and an underdog in at least the next three games...

Llewelyn going 5-19 from the field is not going to cut it, and I found MH’s remarks about the team lacking an identity troubling. Asking what they are offensively when Llewellyn isn’t running a ball screen? How about they’re Princeton and they don’t rely on ball screens but move without the ball and look for each other? Jeez.

Don’t get me started about D.

On the off-chance this was not a purely rhetorical question:

A very saddening game to watch.

This team is SO easy to defend. Clog the lane with defenders; Aririguzoh is prevented from getting the ball and has no room to maneuver when he gets it. Jae-Llew has no where to go with his dribble penetration. And no reliable 3-ball shooters to pull the defenders out.

Schwieger could help break down the defense with his shooting and post-ups but even that will not be enough.

And then there's the D.....oy.

Lafayette just torched St. Joe's on the road for 94 points on 1.31 points per possession. They came into the game 4th in the country in eFG% at 59% and posted a 66% tonight against St. Joe's.

Looks like the Tigers are far from the only team that's struggled to defend them this season

They are 3-0 in the Ivy League, and Penn certainly couldn’t stop them!

Well, the Quakers aren't exactly stoppers to begin with.

But a couple of more wins like that for the Leopards and maybe that loss to them won't seem so bad after all.

Lafayette now #2 in the country in eFG% and #185 in KenPom, good for 2nd in the Patriot League. A win at Cornell on Saturday would put them 4-0 against the Ivies this season

Lafayette shares the ball and shoots 3 pointers. They play hard with good team defense.

Downsides is that they are small up front and will be a severe disadvantage against a team with two good bigs. Arirguzoh dominated until they collapsed 2 to 3 guys on him but Tigers could not shoot 3s'.

After the very surprising win against UConn, St. Joe's is in total free fall and they lost their 2nd best player for the season. The St.Joe's game may not be a good reading as to how good Lafayette is based on the comments of several St. Joe fans.

I would not be surprised if they come down to earth but good for them.
