75-63. Smith with 19, Brumant with 16 and 10 rbs, Forest after 4 consecutive 3s with 14.
Some signs of better shooting, but then Binghamton is KP 334 with a DRAT of 106. Then again, apart from the expected victory, maybe they are learning to play together....

Forest is going to be a scorer. He looked very good. Nweke still fouls too much, but he is a very strong front court player. Brumant is a revelation.

Binghamton played better than expected and might have won the game if Forest hadn't come through in the second half. He is an outstanding outside shooter, Based upon what we have seen him so far, he certainly looks like a double-digit scorer. I would have liked Coach Engles to play some of the other freshman in the last couple of minutes of the game, but I guess he was concentrating on winning the game.

Any word on Ellis? Despite the improved offense tonight, we could still use his shooting.

Not sure about Ellis, but Stef was on the bench and Lance Meadow was giving us some happy talk about Stef being available for the IL season. One final word on last night: except for Forest and Brumant we were missing a lot of open looks and even some bunnies. If we can get more offense some Bibbs, Killingsworth, etc we will have a pretty good team offensively. Our defense was pretty good all game but Smith was having some trouble with the PG from Binghampton.

PS, in today’s Spec Coach Engles said that he expects Stef back in January. Excellent news. Any update on Ellis?

Integrating FYs and Smith takes time, games. Princeton has the same situation.

Besides Ellis, is Turner out too? It would be very helpful to have him get some experience as a back-up PG, but apparently, we are really snake-bit.

What is going on with Harvard? They struggled against Siena at home and barely pulled it out tonight.

No Kirkwood (and of course Aiken and Towns).
Juzang returned from injury but was rusty, shooting 0-6. Assuming he might not have played had Kirkwood been healthy. Siena has big thick bodies, and Chris Lewis only scored 2 points.
So, Juzang and Lewis combined for 4 points in the absence of Kirkwood, Aiken and Towns.
Harvard was lucky to win, and did so with defense.

For all the complaints about Amaker's coaching, I've never seen one of his teams not play hard and well on defense, and this group has some guys who have the physical ability to make life difficult on the offense.
