That’s some terrible officiating. Lafayette dribbles ball off A.J.’s knee, and the guy 25-feet away on far side of floor calls a kick.

Another 3 not set and an airball this time. Best again backdoor. Sigh.

AJ don’t hesitate on the move when the sub is on you. You got the hoop anyways but just go for it.
Edit: after that 2nd straight AJ hoop he howls for the foul call.

Brodeur, Betley, and Goodman failing to execute a triangle play and creating a turnover and easy score the other way when A.J. falls down reaching for bad pass. Awful.

Welp, going to go in to half losing most likely. If they want to win they need to play d. And we need some Jordan info.
3 turnovers and around 50% from 3 for Lafayette.

To show you how bad the D is: Lafayette has been a turnover machine in the early going, dumping it on nearly 25% of their possessions. Tonight: 3 TOs in the half. We’re letting them get anywhere they want on the floor whenever they want.

Steve will give them an earful.

As Chip and others have noted, the defense on the part of both teams is awful. Lafayette is scoring 1.25 points per possession and Penn is scoring 1.22 points. Neither team is forcing turnovers; but Penn is poorer in that respect.

We have up 40 points in a half to Lafayette... Lafayette...
Defense was atrocious on so many levels. If we don’t get our crap together we lose this one.

We're getting killed on the back cuts. It's not as if we don't see those plays every day in practice, you know?
I think part of the issue with AJ is that the defense is looking to collapse two or three guys on him when he goes to work in the low post.
Martz, mistakes aside, has looked pretty good so far.

Well, we finally got AJ going. We’re going to need that to set everything else up.
Yeah, defensively it’s not pretty. At least we are holding our own on the boards.

Can't just run them off the three point line. We do that, and there's an immediate cutter going to the basket who takes the pass from the original shooter.
Off-ball defenders need to see the ball and the player they're defending.

Martz is also vocally active on the court. He has been shouting out defensive switches. At times to Jerome. Who apparently is hard of hearing.
Martz, mistakes aside, has looked pretty good so far.

Goodman got caught in a horrendous double switch against their big guy and amazingly created a turnover that led to a Scott 3. That was big.

Goodman helps off screen, gives up wide open 3 to Jaworski. So stupid.
