Another loss by Cornell falling to Coppin State 68-66 in OT. Cornell trailed at half by 10 scoring only 22 points. The offensive could not get anything going, the “Princeton like†offensive created as many turnovers, and bad shots as it did baskets.
Tough shooting night, 29% from the field and 20% from 3 (1 of 10 in the second half). Cornell had a chance to tie in OT but not much imagination on the last play as Coppin State had them scouted and seemed to know exactly what they were running. Dean Noll got a 3-point look with about 6 seconds to go but missed, got the rebound and tried again as the clock expired.
