Tough 20 pt loss, especially considering the game was tied with 8 mins remaining. Again plagued by poor 3 pt shooting, little bench scoring and a lack of defense. Need to bounce back at home on Wednesday vs Merrimack.

Mathematically this may be the worst loss in the MM era (vs. what a KP would predict).
No, it wasn’t a 20-point loss, except it was. Even losing this game by two would have been a ‘bad loss’.
More troublingly, that’s two games in a row where they were outplayed badly late by seemingly lesser squads. They beat Navy at home probably seven times out of 10, and one time out of 10 they’ll lose it like this. That’s the makeup of this team right now.
But credit Navy’s two nice guards and their defense did end up being disruptive, pretty much throughout the game.
They need more. The contributing rotation is too short right now, and they need more number two options that hit shots.

Thus far, Anderson and Choh are performing. Hunsaker has to make threes and has been very inconsistent. DeWolf has been as good as physical limitations allow. Gainey has shown upside, but not helped as much as is needed. Howard has done very little, disappointing as we need more from this Sr. Cowan and Friday have shown talent but have not contributed much on O. Hard to know if we will ever see GMK, but we sure could use him. After a pretty good start, the last two games have been pretty bad.
