Should be a good test today. A repeat of Friday’s effort would give them a big chance at a nice W.

Did a great job of defending the line for most of the game. USC has not been shooting the 3 well. Hope Adelesh doesn’t revert to his anti-Harvard form.

Critical that they do a better job on the boards. USC has some size, but they have 3 Freshman among their top 6 or 7 in rotation. Harvard starts 4 seniors and a sophomore that plays like a senior. That should be the difference today.

During the Marquette - USC game, when Adlesh was on the court one of the announcers made the comment that "no offense to Columbia but Adlesh isn't used to games played at this pace."

They will find out otherwise today.

USC has talent but isn't particularly disciplined and plays spotty ball on both ends of the court. Hears hoping Harvard smushes them like I think your team can. You can match up against them and Amaker is the better coach.

Really struggling to stop them inside, but we're starting to get really hot from three.

Dangerous couple of minutes here. Lewis just picked up his second foul, and Aiken and Kirkwood are both on the bench.

USC shooting well, but then again you should make most of your 3 footers. Getting easy entry passes.

Rebounds a problem again. Turnovers have been limited. Offense runs best through Kirkwood due to his passing. Aiken can feed off of that and then close out if necessary late in shot clock.

Harvard getting good shots and positioning but so far little to show for it in the 2nd half.

Adlesh with a nice corner 3 although just travelled which triggered the media time out.

He is putting on quite the show-that 2nd alley oop with a very high degree of finishing difficulty. H is doing an aggressive job trying to double team/trap the SC guards but every now and then they manage to break free and lob it to the hoop. Okongwu takes it from there.

Offense has completely died in the second half. Had a bunch of turnovers the first couple of minutes, a bunch of good looks that we just missed after that, and then a couple of Aiken forces that rimmed out.

Is there any other coach in the Ivies that gets less from the talent they have? Amaker is a dreadful coach, but excellent recruiter.

I doubt Harvard will shoot this badly again the rest of the year.

Plenty to worry about for Penn when they play these guys no matter the final score today.

In case you’re wondering, it was even worse in person. Opposite of Friday, with very low energy in big stretches. USC shot well largely because of poor Harvard D.

Some misguided lineups. I like Welsh, but he was abused badly and left in for too long after not being used at all in 1st 2 games. Juzang continues to struggle, and Haskett, who has been playing well, was wild again punctuated by a rather unfortunate verbal outburst following a missed shot. Would have caught my attention as one of the coaches. Hope it did.

No offensive plan at all, although they did miss some open shots, close and far. First half 3 point shooting masked their lack of a scheme. Pretty clear to me that the best things happen when they try to work through Kirkwood. Too much being placed on Aiken, leading to some sloppy possessions. He’ll win a bunch of games for the team, but they need more than that.

May just be that we need that third scorer - Seth or a more polished Ledlum are the options.

Still encouraged by Lewis’ movement, if not the results.

Low energy no doubt because the title deciding game had already been played, right?

That seems like an odd scheduling decision.

Arena was indeed empty, but really meant low energy of team.

Virtually all of these tournaments are really studio programs designed to provide holiday programming for ESPN and other sports cable channels

That’s for sure.

The finale of the Wooden Legacy, currently close to halftime, has loads of empty seats.

I went to the Suncoast Credit Tip-off in Fort Myers. Really nice arena was well attended by fans of Pitt, Kansas St., Northwestern and Bradley. Arena only seats 3400 so it appeared relatively full even though games were on Monday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Tournaments in places like Maui, Paradise Island, Orlando, So. Cal and even Alaska seem desirable for players as much as fans.

As for Harvard’s performance, I felt that Amaker adjusted to the reality that there wouldn’t be much scoring in the paint vs USC’s three 6’’9” and 6’10” bigs. Ball movement resulted in first half open looks and 43 points. Shots didn’t fall in the second half. Great effort vs Maryland and win over Texas A&M offset by poor showing vs USC and A&M’s loss today to 1-6 Fairfield.

Still a LONG way to go

I wasn't expecting that result considering how flat USC looked before yesterday.

Harvard played tired. Movement kind of stopped in the 2nd half. 3 games in 4 days can do that. Can't say enough about the game Okongwu had. Enfield made some nice adjustments and had his team motivated.

Didn't know Baker was an outside threat. Ledlum is a player, will difficult to contain once he tamps down on the freshman mistakes.

Adlesh continues to be a Harvard killer. Would have thought he wouldn't have been ignored by Harvard's D as much as he was.
