Tigers are getting much better shots, Drexel is just making some tough ones. Tied at 37 with 3:40 to play. Llewellyn heating up, he's hit 2 3s in the last few minutes. RA, Evbuomwan, Schwieger, and Desrosiers can back down any Drexel player and get to the rim. Don't see much reason to try anything else offensively until that changes

Drexel shooting 71% in the half so far. I have trouble believing that continues.

It will if Jae-Llew can't play better defense on Winter

Tigers go into the half down 1, 40-39, but I think they look like the better team. Drexel is shooting 65% on 2s, and a lot of them have been contested fadeaways, runners, and hook shots. Hopefully that stops in the 2nd half. Princeton is getting layups and 3s on every possession, just a matter of making open shots now.

Llewellyn with 10, RA and Schwieger with 8

Dragons up one after insane shooting performance in the first half. Most important stat: RA with 0 fouls in the half (8 pts, 5 rbs).

Why is Butler getting isolation on JL? He towers over him and just scored a quick 5 points off him.

Tigers looking woeful on D and RA takes bad shot. Awful start to the half and Tigers suddenly down 8. Time out coach...

Much better halftime adjustments on both ends by Drexel.

Tigers down 13 and looking panicky. JL just tried to go 1 on 4 in the half court and got stripped.

Feels like the press should have come MUCH sooner, as Drexel looked like they had no idea how to handle it. Ends up a 6 point loss but this was by far the worst game of the season

Nice press at the end. Made it a game. But....

Drexel looked better coached and played MUCH better D.

And what about "make shots"?

I would settle for "make stops".

Hate to say it but MH got really outcoached at halftime. RA almost completely shut out in the second half and Drexel worked match-ups to their advantage over and over again on offense. Nice run at the end pulled the Tigers to within 3 after being down 16 (and it sure looked to me like TE got fouled on his attempted dunk off the nice drive that could have closed it to 1) but this is a disappointing loss.

In a way, no surprise. There are numerous issues with this team and I must regrettably suggest that Coach H is part of the problem. In the past, I have been a big supporter of Mitch but he has not done a good job in leading this team this year. The defensive effort and team defense is inconsistent at best during sections of the game and the offense does not have a coherent strategy.

Same old -- same old will not work with this group.

It is not inconceivable that Mitch can turn it around but perhaps unlikely.

Drexel commentators were amazed as to the size of the Tigers but it is not consistently used to their advantage. Another option is simply let Jaelin have the ball in his hands all the time and try to score but that will not work in the long run. Sad.

He should go watch the Tiger's women practice as to team defense.

Didn’t see it. Did they play any zone to exploit the size advantage?

Bad sloppy man to man defense until they switched over to full court press that worked against not very good ball handling by Drexel. Freshmen Edo played really well on full court defense. Terrible FT shooting by Drexel over the last 3 minutes made it a game and Tigers had a chance to tie it with 29 seconds left after being down by 16.

Llewellyn and guards played poor man to man defense especially in the first half.

Jaelin took over the game offensively towards the end of the game and he made some very difficult shots.

They played their best, although unsustainable, with full court pressure and Jaelin trying to score on every possession. Once again, no offensive or defensive identity -- that is a Mitch issue.

They have offensive and defensive identities; just not good ones and perhaps should remain anonymous.

Drexel HC is a Steve Donahue prodigy and they are very close. Have to think (or at least choose to think) Penn had a lot to do with it last night and for that I will sleep a little better tonight!

See you dudes in a few weeks.

To be honest, Drexel played like almost the complete opposite of a Donahue team. Per the Bart Torvik box score (http://barttorvik.com/box.php?muid=PrincetonDrexel1 2-4&year=2020) Drexel took 27 mid range jumpers last night. End of the day you have to defend it if they're going in at the rate they were last night, but you'd still rather give up those than layups

Drexel shooters, particularly the point guard, shot crazy good even when their shots were contested with very good defense -- just part of the game. It always strikes me as an excuse for explaining why you lost when the other team shoots lights out. It does happen but there are nights when it works the other way. Parcells always got it right regarding your Won/Loss record.

If you a 500 team or worse, probably in good taste not to blame the other team shooters or especially referees as to why you lose -- take a good look in the mirror.

Mitch and the team needs to take on ownership and accountability.
