Game time is 6:30 pm on FS1. Vegas has yet to post lines for the December 4th games, however, I am estimating that the line will be around -10 for the Wildcats.

I'd be the last one to try to dissuade you from giving in to your impulse.

I'm in Cincy so will be a long toss-will try not to break the TV. The fact that Ford went on to the Celtics just made him even more despicable.
The Jay Wright coaching and teams are just not up to the hate standards of Jack Kraft and Rollie.

Nova fans, on the other hand, remain as easy as ever to loathe.

Mike, if you don't know who Chris Ford is (understandable at your age), you will certainly not appreciate one of the best roll outs I can recall:
"Siemiontkowski shoots all over the place"

Haha, no unfortunately I don't have any idea what that references either.
Allen/Maloney were before me (I started fall 1997), though there was still a bit of knowledge of them, I really started with Jordan/Langel teams.

Man are you young. Unfortunately, you missed the great days of Big 5 doubleheaders at the Palestra (I was at the tail end as Class of '78). When these guys say they are old, they mean it.
But Chris Ford was the typical annoying Catholic HS white kid player who could really shoot and deliver a cheap shot that Villanova recruited in droves prior to the mid '70s. Had a good NBA career and later was a coach.

And Rollie was Pete Carril, minus Pete's intelligence and quirky charm, and plus heaping doses of assholery.
There were Big 5 double- and triple-headers into the early 80's until Rollie tried his best to kill the Big 5.

I hated him as a Celtic. He and Walton would be obnoxious cheerleaders on the bench.

Or when the (true) rumor came out that Howard Porter had signed a pro contract:
Siemontowski signed a contract too. With the Philadelphia Sanitation Authority

The Celtics have always been an eminently hateworthy franchise. Especially if, as I did, one grew up in the New York area during the era of Frazier/Monroe/Reed/DeBus schere/Bradley et al.
