The Bears needed an effort like this after the last two. Martin said it was the best played game of the year on both sides of the ball. Good passing around the zone D. Choh had 17 6 4. BA 11 7 7 & 2 assts. Bears up 20 at half. Before M could think of making a comeback, Hunsacker hit 3 3’s in first few minutes of second half. Martin also said that freshman Cowan and Watts both added enthusiasm on D, and helped spark the team with the confidence and athleticism. Cowan hit 3 of 6 from three on way to 8 points. Merrimack beat Northwestern on the road and has some other wins and close loses in first year in D1. To win by 37 is rather impressive. The tough stretch of the schedule starts at Stonybrook on Saturday. Friday was not at the game due to a stomach bug.

A promising win last night. Good to see us figure things out against a pesky zone. Also good to get bench scoring, see Perry show his stroke (and poise) as a shooter, and a good blend of capabilities at the big position. Much needed heading into Stonybrook and St Johns on the road.
