Iona returns largely the same major contributors from last year (Crawford, Agee, Gist) + the addition of Minnesota transfer PG Isaiah Washington, who was highly touted out of HS. Last year was a great game for JL and Morales, who combined for 13 assists and just 3 TOs. JL had probably the best game of his career, shooting 8/11 on 2s and posting an ORAT of 145. Ball control will be huge again today against an Iona team that's 29th in the country in defensive TO%, and forced 16 in their most recent loss at UConn. Last season, the Tigers won the turnover battle 13 to 11. Gonna need similar ball control today to have a shot I think.
Iona's been taking but not making threes this season, and have only made double digits 3s once this season. That being said, Crawford, Agee, and Gist all were good 3pt shooters last season, so expecting them to keep missing is probably not the play.
Per KenPom's experience metric, which weights class years by % of minutes played, Iona is the most experienced team in the country at 2.65 years (for comparison Princeton is 278th at 1.35 years, and the highest Ivy is Harvard at 38th - 2.17 years). They're also 332nd in bench minutes, so this isn't a very deep team. Should be another tough test, but certainly a winnable game

Iona has head coaching issues due to a medical leave of absence.

Cluess was a solid basketball player for St John's and Hofstra and has been a very successful head coach.
Even if he is not coaching tomorrow, Iona will present major challenges to the Tigers and I suspect that it will be a tough game for Princeton to win. Tiger pieces need to really work together today to win and they have been certainly inconsistent at best but hope that I am wrong.

Great game. Tigers go down 16 in second half, come roaring back to take the lead. Going to OT. AR fouled out at some point (watching on Iona feed with no sound).

Surprisingly fun to watch a game with no announcers. All the timeouts down the stretch are interminable though.

Great win by 4 in OT after being down 16 in 2nd half with no RA down the stretch. Morales with 5 steals and no turnovers.

Certainly not pretty, but a good win nonetheless. Played the last 10 minutes of game action without Aririguzoh and still won those 10 minutes by 7, which is a good sign going forward. Schwieger and Llewellyn were both unremarkable for most of the game but found moments down the stretch for clutch plays that helped. Morales contributed with some great steals late as Iona was very careless with the ball. Most impressed with Friberg and Wright. Friberg beat Iona for the 2nd year in a row with his 6 threes, and personally I feel like he could've been more selfish in looking for his own shot today. Wright hit 3 3s and finished with a 16/6/2/2 line, one of his best games of his career and he continues to trend upwards.
Evbuomwan and Langborg started but were sloppy with the ball early and were out of the rotation most of the game in favor of veterans Morales, Desrosiers, and Barnes (who was a pleasant surprise contributor in Princeton's 2nd half run and showed his ability to run the floor with size). Iona's an experienced and aggressive team, so hopefully they'll turn it around next game. Feels good to have 2 wins in a row for sure

Didn't mind the no announcers, but the camera man was a little late on moving the camera on a few possessions down the stretch. Also not having a clock visible was a little anxiety-inducing. Felt like both teams called 5 time outs in overtime alone

Didn't see it, but the box score is telling. Morales stepping up big time--5 steals, 0 turnovers, 6 assists--is usually a good sign, and the growth of Freiberg and Wright is encouraging.
This is starting to look like an early MH team that needs to outscore people (remember that crazy Evansville game in the post-season?), because the D seems to be lagging the O now that the Tigers' shooting kinks seem to have been worked out.

24 assists on 28 field goals is also impressive.
Starters 1-10 from three, bench 10-18. Hmmm.
Giving up 26-37 on 2-point attempts isn't too good, though. At least they managed to come up even on turnovers.

To be honest, the scorekeeper was being VERY generous with assists. Quite a few of Aririguzoh's baskets were given assists even when he made a couple of post moves. Still ball movement was overall good

I get the feeling that Llewellyn made an effort NOT to go one-on-one except when there was no better option. This allowed the ball to move to the open shooter. The last passer got the assist.

Agree that Llewelyn is becoming more of a point guard vs. having a scorer's perspective as he still does not have a good 3 pt stroke. It was baffling that Mitch did not go with the strategy of having Richmond down deep vs. rather than at the top of the circle especially when Iona was playing zone defense. In the 1st half, Richmond scored almost at will plus Schwieger was effective taking the ball deep and passing to wide open shooter Friberg or Wright.
Defense in the 1st half was poor -- Jaelin and Schwieger did not get their hands in the face of shooters -- hands are too low. Defense intensity is not consistent at or near 100%. Offense is improving but the defense has a long way to go if they are going to compete in IL.
Important win not only with the comeback but also finally winning a close game after several brutally tough losses.
Freshmen looked like freshmen.
