That had to have been the worst half of the season. Our seniors need to step up. 6-20 from the floor and 0-5 from 3. Getting absolutely pounded inside not just by RA but by their guards. Pretty much dumping inside to anyone and scoring easy buckets. We are seeing no advantage at the offensive end. Too many forces with guys trying to score 10 point buckets instead of playing our actual game. Donahue again getting out coached to start Ivy season. Let’s see what we can do in second half but adjustments will need to be made because that wasn’t working.

Defense is in complete meltdown right now. Whatever they're doing, they have to switch to something else now.

Remember when Coach Donahue said we were ready to defend? We’ve made a good Princeton player who averages 11/12 points a game look like the second coming of Larry Bird.
We aren’t ready to defend and this is an absolutely brutal performance all around. I also frankly don’t like that our strategy after the first half debacle was basically to do the same thing and hope for better results?
Love AJ but this is very disappointing performance. RA in his head and outplaying him again but worse... instead of AJ looking to get other guys buckets he is making force after force of difficult shots.

Mitch came out with a plan to deny the 3 and back us down inside every single possession. Steve’s answer to them shooting about 75% on those plays? Nada. Nothing at all. No doubles. No zone. Nothing. Just let them keep doing it. This was as tough a game as we’ve seen in the Steve era.

Just put it in the bank and save it. They always show their true colors and we’ll get them back. It’s why they are so easy to hate.

Yep that’s my point. I’m extra concerned that his counter attack plan was let’s do the same thing over that worked poorly.

Dingle is the only player that’s actually showing anything and our seniors are 13 of 30 FGs and 1 of 12 from 3... this is their a millionth league game so apparently knowing isn’t much help.
Martz and Monroe definitely have learning to do here, so get your point but Dingle looked more composed than the seniors to be honest.

Dingle took 19 shots to get 21 pts. He shot 9-19 and 2-8 from 3, not actually much better than the others. He didn’t run the offense, played hero ball while taking those 19 shots. I didn’t like his performance at all.

Our defense was about what it was all year so far, which is average to bad. I was very surprised we didn’t switch on ball screens like we have been doing most games. That resulted in being out of position quite a few times. But giving up 78 pts is probably what’s gonna happen against a lot of Ivy teams.
Our offense however was atrocious. Mitch played us straight up, no double teams and we had 1 guy who could beat it some of the time. We got worked by Princeton’s defense at almost every position. Very concerning. Looked just like last year to me.

Ryan Schweiger went 10-16 for 27 points. There was nothing average about the d they played tonight. It was just bad. Same exact play again and again and we did nothing different. Any time we had even a semblance of momentum they backed us down one on on and scored. Just think about how much worse it could’ve been if they didn’t go 2-11 on 3s, most of them open looks.

We lost because our #64 offense scored 64 pts. We have given up 78 several times. Our defense was bad, like 164th ranked bad. Get used to it because that’s gonna be the flavor of the season. Those who wanted it got their wish. Our offense was much worse and that’s why we lost.
