One area that will be interesting to watch will be Penn's shot selection, and the kinds of shots Princeton's defense gives them. In game 1, Penn obviously struggled from 3 going 3/23, but they also struggled on offense because Princeton forced them to take a much higher volume of mid-range and long 2s than Penn wants. Of their 48 2pt attempts in game 1, 17 (35%) of them were mid-range or long 2s. That's the highest volume of those shots Penn has taken all season by a large margin, and they shot just 3/17 - 18% on those shots.
Both teams are in the top 50 in the country in 2P FG%, but the difference in game 1 was that 80% of Princeton's 2pt attempts came at the rim, giving them much easier shots than the Quakers. Brodeur in particular was taking shots from much further out than he'd like, as his 8 mid range shots were the most he's taken all season, and he made just 2 of them. For the season, he's a 57% shooter at the rim, and just a 43% shooter on other 2s. If the Tigers can keep forcing those shots away from the rim, the defense should still be in decent shape even if Penn is hotter from 3.
On offense I think the Tigers should be planning to go the same route with post ups and bully ball until Penn shows they're willing to double team. If/when they do, it's all down to ball and player movement to find open shots. Hopefully at home, perimeter shooters like Wright, Friberg, and perhaps Langborg will be able to knock more down than they did last Saturday

Welcome summed it up well. I would dearly love a couple of those shooters mentioned to catch fire; seems plausible, but if I had to name single most important factor it’s Richmond A staying out of foul trouble.

Hmm... didn't think they'd go all the way there. At worst would have expected a PK. A week ago, this might have been Penn by 2.5ish.
One game bounces the line by 3.5ish points... I don't know...

Agree that it is rather strange to say the least -- they know something that we have not seen.
As the season progresses, it always seems more changeling to place a successful wager vs. the early part of the season -- not sure why. I do know that it was a rather easy to place friendly wagers on the Tuger's women throughout non-conference play.

Has Penn been forced to double against any of the better teams they have played this year and last?
How did they do?

Penn fans would definitely know better, but the only time this year I think they may have doubled is against UCF's Collin Smith when Brodeur and Simmons both had foul trouble. Other than that I'm not sure

Donahue makes defensive adjustments. Will it work? Time will tell.

Slow start but really nice counter punch from the Tigers to take back Penn's momentum and get to the under 16 tied. If Brodeur's going to guard Schwieger for extended periods then I think Schwieger should be on the perimeter a ton

Penn goes with their 2 big lineup to combat Aririguzoh in the paint, and MH responds with a no big lineup and the Tigers are 6/11 from 3. Llewellyn is in a zone, 5/6 from the field for 12 points and just hit a pull up 3 off a pick. Tigers on a 10-0 run to get it to a 29-20 lead with 6:30 to play

Schwieger is so good offensively. Adjusting very nicely to Penn's new coverages and just had a beautiful cut for a layup in traffic

6-0 run for Penn aided by aggressive drives by Dingle that sent him to the line. Wright's struggling today on offense from 3 and on defense guarding Dingle. Tigers still up 34-28 with a minute left. Offense has gone a little cold from deep as Penn's moved to a zone

Tigers go into the half up 36-28 on a beautiful BLOB for Aririguzoh, who hits his only FG of the half as the buzzer sounds. He was picked up by Schwieger and Llewellyn who have 26 of the Tigers' points in the 1st half. Really good half from the Tigers adjusting to the changing defenses and fighting back after Penn came out with a ton of energy

Entertaining first half. I was worried after that start that Penn was just going to be sharper and quicker, but things settled down nicely. Excellent adaptation to Donahue's switch to having others cover Aririguzoh; Schweiger looked very calm and alert, making smart decisions. Loved Aririguzoh's backdoor pass to the cutting Schweiger. Llewelyn now looking a lot like the guy who was hyped as a recruit. Great ending to the half on that late JL-to-RA backdoor out of bounds.
Defense has had more trouble this time as the Quakers are hitting more of their looks and doing a better job getting drives and cuts to the hoop. But Aririguzoh is still terrorizing them at the rim. Brodeur made a couple of nice moves, but has mostly been contained. Dingle is making things happen with a bunch of assists and some drawn fouls, but so far not getting too many easy shots--if his harder ones start going in, that will be bad. Overall team defense has been pretty good as far as helping and staying home at the right times, rotating and getting back.
