Senior Day for the Big Red in a big win. Lions' group well below 50%.

Their senior came through; the Lions' didn't. Just a bit of gallows humor

Another pretty depressing game. Once Forrest got two fouls in the first couple of minutes, and they guarded Smith tightly, we just lacked the offense to compete.
By now, are we to assume that Stefanini will not play this season?

I agree with you that it was "another depressing game," but that is almost always the case nowadays with Columbia Men's Basketball. Regarding Stefanini, the lack of transparency on his status is troubling. It is really unfair that Columbia's fans need to speculate on his return.

When Smith plays 40 minutes he is too tired to close out games in the last five minutes.
As far as transparency, compare MBB with football. Al and his staff give supporters of the program a detailed weekly email, Al gives an interview, and the staff is much more forthcoming. The frustration on the face of the improving Tai Bibbs in the last few minutes was noted by the absolutely awful Cornell broadcasting crew. And why didn’t Turner see any playing time while Bolster did?

Meant to say that Al gives weekly interviews during the season.

Aiken hasn't played much for Harvard. Maybe some H fans can say whether Amaker has said why.

In a post-game interview, the Cornell coach said they tried to force Smith to one side while he started to drive. That seemed to work.
JE has said he played his best at NJIT for 40 minutes, BTB.

There isn't much more to say about Columbia Men's Basketball. However, the Columbia Ladies are another story and deserve lots of support from Columbia sports fans. Columbia-Cornell #2 was an exciting basketball game between two very talented teams with the Lions barely losing in overtime Columbia played extremely well, but Cornell eked out the win thanks to some surprising outstanding shooting by a freshman guard. Neither the Columbia coaches nor the Columbia players did anything wrong. Columbia has a terrific coach in Megan Griffith and Cornell has a good coach as well. In my humble opinion, both Columbia and Cornell have a good chance of finishing in the top four in a very strong Ivy League. It may come down to the final weekend of the season. In short, the Lions' strength is the extraordinary athleticism of its very young team--only one senior. That senior, Janiya Clemmons is a smart and talented shooting guard. However the Super Athletes are (1) Sienna Durr, last year's Ivy League Rookie of the Year, (2) Abbey Hsu, an extraordinary athlete who could be this year's Ivy League Rookie of the Year, and (3) Kaitlyn Davis, another extremely athletic freshman. The other key players are center/forward Hannah Platt and point guard Mikayla Markham. Columbia's coach Megan Griffith, is a terrific game coach and recruiter. Her next class includes a three star 6'1" forward from Pennsylvania, a first team All-State guard from West Virginia, and a talented guard from Ohio. It may also include another athletic guard from Sydney, Australia, but I don't see any confirmation of her commitment. I assume Coach Griffith is trying to recruit a 6'3 + center because that seems to be the missing piece for an Ivy League championship bid by Columbia in the next two years.

When I watched the second half of the W's Cor game, I had the feeling they were running a little low on energy starting about 3 minutes left in regular time. Their switches on D were slightly sluggish it seemed.
Anyway, they're worth catching at least on video.
