Over the years, Cornell basketball has been very tough on teams coming to Ithaca the day of a snowstorm. Ithaca had 11" of snow Friday.

Regardless of the weather's possible effects, congratulations to Coach Earl and the team on a well-played game that was closed out elegantly.

Have folks really done the math on that?

Great win for the guys. Boeheim and Warren were lights out inside the arc (combined 12 of 16).

Nice to see a couple of new wrinkles in the offense which got Warren some looks and he seemed confident after struggling early in the season. Another strong effort on the defensive end of the floor.

Not enough Defense as Penn gets to the rim way too often. Still back to back nice games by Warren, who was really struggling early this season, and Knapp seems to have found his shooting touch.

Cornell isn't a good team by any means, but it's no longer "are we ever winning another D1 game."

Diaappointing loss after a great performance on Sat. especially on the defensive end. I gave Earl credit vs Princeton but he really hurt the team by refusing to run anything but his normal sets especially after time outs. Cornell in the game down 4 with 2 minutes to go, they bring the ball up the floor as if they are winning, burning 11-12 seconds before they even get into the offense. Typical offesnsive set which ends up with Warren ready for a dribble hand off to Boeheim 25 feet from the basket. Earl calls a time out with 7 seconds on the shot clock. So after the time out what does Cornell run, a dribble handoff for McBride who tries to go one-on-one, Penn just holds their position and McBride throws up a shot that gets swatted out of bounds with 1 second to go on the shot clock. Cornell tries to throw an alley opp to Boeheim who can’t get his hands on and the shot clock expires. Last thing, Cornell has 0 points on fast breaks compared to 13 for Penn, you would think that a team that has struggled on the offensive end would take every opportunity to push the ball when they can especially when they are sometimes playing 3 guards, but they do the exact opposite.
