39-31 at half. Weird start both ways but really solid period overall, good bounceback from yesterday so far.

Nice recovery win. Not concerned by the Cornell road loss -- just the ol' Brian Earl advantage!
Still tied for first and going back home next weekend. Hope the guys come out with FIRE on Saturday. Would rather beat Yale and lose to Brown than vice versa.

This one was a fun one to watch, and it's definitely nice to see the team bounce back from a tough offensive night last night in Ithaca to counter some good punches from Columbia to get the win. Smith was relentless, and there were many spots where it felt like the game was tipping towards Columbia, only for the Tigers to quickly stretch the lead back to 6-8 points and hold Columbia at bay.
Really fun game for Llewellyn, who was 10/10 at the FT line, grabbed 5 offensive rebounds, and had a couple really nice passes to Aririguzoh (one of which RA uncharacteristically missed a bunny - ironically his only FG miss of the night). Friberg and Schwieger both had some critical 3's in the second half to keep the momentum rolling as well.
Seems like Evbuomwan is hitting somewhat of a freshman wall, as he's been relatively ineffective in the last few outings. Still think he has potential, but feels like he's finding it harder to find spots to contribute lately. Desrosiers on the other hand is surging, which is nice to see. RA found him for a few beautiful back door cuts. It seems like MH likes having the bench group of Desrosiers, Friberg, and Morales to bring in, but curious to see if Desrosiers might break back into the lineup over Evbuomwan.
Tough weekend for Wright, who went 2/11 from 3 after going 6/8 the previous weekend. Still, he had some great defensive plays tonight, including another impressive blocked 3pt shot in the corner. Those are tough shots to block, and really show you when a defender is right on a jump shot.
Overall, I think a split isn't a bad result for the weekend, especially given what else happened around the league. The Cornell loss sucks because it sort of felt like we were just in a funk (lowest PPP of the year aside from the Indiana game), but I'm not too worried about it. Whether it was the delays/weather, the afternoon start, the Earl effect, or a bad breakfast, the whole game felt off. Don't think Cornell exposed any fatal flaws really, just a poor offensive game. Takes a strong effort to bounce back from a disappointing loss like that, drive 5 hours, and then withstand a good push the next afternoon to get a road win. Really looking forward to next weekend, should be 2 good games

I’m OK leaving Evbuomwan in the starting lineup. He’s going to get his 10-12 minutes a game whether he starts or not, and I like Desrosiers stealth energy off the bench.
Remember the ‘11 team had Kareem Maddox coming in off the bench, and he’s six months away from an Olympic gold medal.

Desrosier seems to have found his stroke IF he is open and feet are still.
He also has displayed a talent to bull his way to the hoop against smaller defenders.
I like Evbuomwan's low bounce controlled dribble, but he seems unwilling to commit to take it to the hoop, perhaps because he has been stripped a few times on the way.
