Currently:

Cornell +13.5 at Harvard
Brown +7.0 at Penn
Columbia +5.5 at Dartmouth
Yale -4.5 at Princeton

A few things jump out at me:
- Harvard has only beaten UMass, Maine and MIT by this margin. This Crimson team seems destined to play close games
- Penn favored by 7 without Betley?
- Yale favored at Princeton, possibly without Bruner?
- Winless Dartmouth favored by 5.5?

Hopefully, my Crimson don't foul with under 4 seconds left in a game where it matters. Have done so in 3 of last 4 games, and 4th game went to OT. Time to right the ship and emerge with a 5-3 record. Big questions; do I risk my marriage to sneak peaks at ESPN+ on my phone during Valentine's Day dinner in Florida? How romantic! Could be more controversial than the Alex Rosenberg offensive foul called on Valentine's Day 2014.

Of course not. That would be highly disrespectful and possibly detrimental to your .. love.. life.

You have dinner at a sports bar where you are the one facing the TV screen.

Do it.

If you don't report back then we'll figure out what happened.

Or in my case, take the bride to the game with me.

I think we lost a week there somewhere ;-)

At these prices, give me the 4 dogs all day long.
The over unders are interesting too.

Y/P 137 seems high but I wouldn’t touch it - too many unknowns.
C/H 137 seems low; over likely the best bet of the 4
P/B 144 is about right but I’d go over
D/C 129 who knows? No telling what might happen here

Do that a lot. She's a trooper.

Unfortunately, she doesn't really know basketball. She grew up going to Rangers games at MSG and so she yells "shoot" whenever anyone gets the ball, even guys like Zena and Lewis 50 feet from the basket and facing the other way! Only Crimson player who usually obliges has been Bryce.

My advice is to not wear your Denis Potvin jersey tonight.

Anything else will be OK.

Wouldn't fit anymore.
Partial to Clark Gilles. Dave Schultz had it coming.

On the Dartmouth thing, schedule matters. They are winless, but kenpom basically says they are the same as Brown. Yet Dartmouth has played 6 Ivy games, all of which Ken Pom would say they would lose. And Brown has played 6 Ivy games, 3 of which Ken Pom would say they should lose. Brown eeks out a win over Harvard, and suddenly two teams that are dead even are separated by 4 games, almost entirely on the basis of schedule (and a Robert Baker chest bump that may or may not have been).

Robert Baker doesn’t really have a chest. Just legs and arms

I could not agree more on both counts.

Nice to finally see a normal 7 PM time slot for the linear TV broadcast of Yale-Princeton, rather than the ridiculous 5 PM starts the league accepted in previous weeks just to get it’s one game on cable.

Let's hope your spouse does not see your lack of dedication, on this day above all others, as symptomatic of anything larger.

The answer for the smart man is the Smart TV, together with a nice meal you cook for her, a glass of wine and a mickey in the glass.

Go Quakers!

Yes, as she says: Valentines Day is for amateurs!”

Problem is we’re on vacation in Florida. Otherwise, we’d be at Lavietes

Good time to be away---small crowds, good weather. Big game for Harvard---both games this weekend are must-wins.

"Dear, Bice* is so overrated, how about a quick romantic overnight getaway back to an exclusive hot dog at Lavietes?"
