Obviously been very disappointed in losing Charles and Wang, and now perhaps Betley.

But you know who looks good if you show up early and watch Penn warm up? Jelani Williams.

No expectations at this point after 3 years of major injuries, but he looks like he is really coming along.

I thought Jelani was taking this semester off and was rehabbing back in DC

Looks good how? Shooting, dunking, running, cutting?

Looks like he got stronger and hopefully recovery time has given him time to work on shot, but 3 knee surgeries would have to negatively affect jumping and lateral quickness, right?

Would LOVE to see him come back strong but last time he played competitively was 3 years ago in HS, right? Anything he can bring rest of career would be a bonus in my view but don’t think we can count on it.

Everything but dunking. He was out there dribbling, juking, and shooting. Nothing crazy, but encouraging. More mobile than Charles, which was what caused me to realize he probably wasn’t going to play this year even before the announcement. Though at least before Princeton Charles participated in pregame stuff that involved moving straight ahead. Jelani was only shooting, dribbling, and retrieving balls. No movement stuff.

Asia, I believe he took the last semester off, not this one.

Interesting.

The way I was thinking when I first saw he was taking the year off was that if he took full year then potentially he could play 2 years at Penn (over 6 years but over 5 school years with taking one off). I imagine it would be pretty tough to find an extra 1.5 years worth of non-grad school work to be able to play the two years though, right? If he is in school over 6 years could he even stay eligible with that much school?

So now basically wonder if 2 years playing at Penn is off the table?

Didn’t Geoff Owens end up on campus for 6 years, withdrawing during part of that time?
