Opens Bruno +4 1/2 O/U 140

Brown has won 5 Ivy games in a row and should not be taken lightly, especially after last nights disaster.

And for those so inclined, pound it in on Yale as high as -6 tonight.

Great first half for the Tigers, up 37-24. Ethan Wright ties his career high already with 16 points. Princeton out-rebounding Brown by 20-11, and holding the Bears to just 34.5% shooting, including just 2-10 on threes. Three fouls on Gainey in the first half.

Playing with heat Brown looks lethargic so far. Schwieger is only one struggling

If you can say one thing about this team in Ivy League play it’s that they can really bounce back. Total 180 tonight from an energy stand point and the score reflects that. Wright was incredible, overall very fun game to watch. And the Penn win in the Palestra brings the Tigers right back into a first place the after the weekend

The 2nd night of Ivy play really showed tonight with both Yale and Brown.

Yale is clearly the class of the league, but I really like our chances in an Ivy Tourney where Harvard/Penn has a crack at them first.

Wright really did well going to the hoop as his defender was trying to guard against his 3 pt shot. It would be nice if it was a breakout game for him similar to Schwieger last year.

Tigers played hard tonight which was so good to see.

Topsy turvey league. After weekend #4, 5 teams are playing for 4 spots vs. 5 teams playing for 1 spot -- IvyMadness. Three teams are out of it but they can certainly play a spoiler role(s), Go figure.

Of all the games Wright has played as a Tiger, this was the most “Steven Cook look a like” game he’s played. Great aggression and finishing at the rim, and knocking down shots and cutting hard. He’s also playing with the most swagger and energy I’ve seen from him. He’s been more vocal, he’s more demonstrative on the court, and I even saw him turn around to say something to the Brown bench after a three he hit on the wing in front of them. A Wright/Llewellyn back court for 2 more full seasons sounds pretty pretty good to me.

What I loved the most was the defensive energy tonight, and it came from everyone. Even Schwieger had a play where he got blocked at the rim on a fast break layup, then ran down the court and picked the pocket of the Brown dribbler and got on the floor to contain the loose ball. Also loved Llewellyn’s put back dunk in the first half. Again, very very fun game.

Great comeback win! Super effort tonight after coming out really flat against Yale. Tigers just need to keep scrapping on D and hustling on offense and they’ve got a great chance to make it to the madness. Go Tigers!

Madness Shmadness. Can we possibly come back and do to Yale what they did to us? To be competing for one of four spots is almost demeaning. The Ivy Crown is still what matters.🐅

Similar scenario for the men after several weeks versus prior years since the introduction of IvyMadness. Down to 5 teams with a viable opportunity for four slots with three teams virtually out of the running. Pretty unlikely that there can be a 2nd bid. Reasonable chance that there will be a tie for the regular season crown. Reward for the IL champ or co-champs, other than Harvard, play a road game. Welcome to Robin's World.

Will be very challenging for the Tigers to win the regular season crown with 4 of 6 remaining games on the road but it would be a wonderful, but unlikely, accomplishment.

Challenge accepted (at least from this fan's perspective). After our 1-7 start to the season, did anyone think that we'd be tied for 1st with 6 to go? I'm all in with this team the rest of the way. Harvard is vulnerable at home (see last night's double OT game vs. last place Columbia). We have shown we can handle Brown and Dartmouth. The game at Yale should be for all the marbles (of course, that means we need to take care of business at home against Cornell, and Columbia). As you say, it will be very challenging, but this is exactly what makes it so fun to follow.

The good news is we don't need to do to Yale what they did to us. The real question is do we think we can score one more point than they do the next time we play.

You're assuming that Harvard makes the Tournament. And that likely will all be decided by (and for) them next weekend. If they lose 2 to the Ps, they are done and the Tournament will have the unique irony of having one of the two teams that most loudly screamed to rotate the tournament at campus sites not allowed into their own building when it comes there

First of all, Palestra38, I can’t see Harvard dropping one game, much less two, to the Ps in Cambridge. But, if that delightful unlikelihood actually transpired, the harvard players should, at the very least, be guaranteed good seats to watch their betters in action.😈🐅

In fairness, Harvard has been the team that has been screwed the most when it comes down to Robin's Fantasy Island as to site selection but then again, empathy should be given to only those who questioned the wisdom of IvyMadness and Robin's management of the process.

I am pretty sure that Harvard will be in the Tournament based on the remaining schedule but who knows this year.

They do have 4 home games, but have to play Yale, Brown, Penn and Princeton in those games. That's not exactly chopped liver.

Absolutely no way to know how Harvard will do. Last second foul calls have been more determinative than anything else, and that’s seemed uniquely unpredictable.

Excluding Cornell and Dartmouth, scores at 40 minute mark have been:
Even: at Penn
-1: at Princeton (winning margin a FT with 3.9 seconds)
+1: at Yale (missed FT at 2.0 seconds)
-1: at Brown (winning FT at .9 seconds)
Even: Columbia

Harvard could just as easily be 8-0 or 3-5

Entertaining? Sort of.

Lavietes could be the most important member of squad this year, after Towns and Aiken.
