Goes back to the notion that there is no dominant team in the IL this year although Yale's record and rpi gives the edge at least for the regular season champ which only means a #1 seed on the road -- gotta love that logic.
Other than Yale, the rest of the contenders are just that contenders but 3 of the 4 will make it to Lavietes.

Getting back to the Brown game for a moment, I was able to attend the game, my first in a couple of years. Made it despite the fact that I-95 was completely closed northbound in Maryland.
I was surprised to see the "Euro-step" incorporated into the pre-game drills, from both sides of the hoop. Except for Jae-Llew, who is exempted or just doesn't choose to do it. It still looks ugly to me, but it works.
As others have observed, Langborg has a really nice shooting stroke, even better than Wright. Tosan practiced with the bigs, so I did not see him practice the 3, but he seems willing to shoot it in games.
Morales really ought to shoot more when he is wide open.
Lastly, I did not see Coach Carril up in the rafters. Has anyone heard anything about him? He will be 90 in July.

Coach started the season in the rafters with some of his long-term buddies. He has experienced some health/mobility issues and moved down to the lower level as the season progressed. He did miss the Brown game -- not sure about Yale but he has been at most of the games and does attend some practices. Former players love to see him and smile after interacting with him. Occasionally shakes his head when he is watching players play and coaches coach but he is great. He is a Princeton institution and helped saved the mid-majors in the NCAA Tournament as told by ESPN 30.
95 is a joke and has been a joke for the past 10 years particularly just north of Philadelphia -- solution is to take 295 on the Jersey side.

Carril was in his old perch high above the court on Friday. He did not appear on Saturday. In December his hip, which he described as "on fire," prevented him from getting upstairs. When AD Mollie Marcoux saw him sitting in the baseline bleachers she offered him a seat in the VIP row courtside. He declined but said he would appreciate it in the future. But, of course, he never appeared there. Although he looked terrible in December I am pleased to report he looked much better on Friday and greeted numerous well wishers.

Good to see Pete still around. One thing---he looked terrible back in the '70s too.

Thanks to bradley and Jadwin George regarding Coach Carril. Very reassuring.
I played a pickup game in Dillon winter 68-69 and had to guard him. Of course he torched me--quick, great shooter.
I did not realize his actual age until this weekend when I looked it up on Wikipedia. He was 38. I of course at age 18 thought of him as a slow old man....NOT.
With regard to I 95, I have used 295 once I cross the Delaware Memorial Bridge even back in the 60's. The occlusion Saturday was in Maryland, just over the Susquehanna. The detour was all through Cecil County Maryland.
