Ray Jerome, with the exception of Mark Jackson who has played 4 minutes, has the lowest scoring for 40 minutes on the team. So while I can see putting him out there to protect a lead, you certainly don't want him out there if you need to score.

Agreed, and the opposition isn't likely to intentionally foul us if they have the lead.

Re: Bryce Washington being injured, Steve Donahue said it after the Yale game.

"Bryce is banged up - his wrist has been for the last month and a half, he's had a struggle with his foot. He's not completely sidelined but he just hasn't been able to practice enough. Now, he's someone that if he starts getting healthy. he's another body that we can use down the stretch."

You're not getting too much from Jerome, period. He has had difficulties making proper switches on defense.

Only thing you might say is that, relatively speaking, he is steadier than either Dingle or Monroe. But that's faint praise.

Monroe hasn’t done much on offense as the season has gone on, but to my eye he doesn’t make many mistakes. Gives us another ball handler, has more length than our other guards, so he can guard a lot of different types of players. So I wouldn’t mind seeing more of him out there, even if he isn’t scoring at all.

Monroe is more active--certainly more physical. More of everything, both positive and negative.

Shooting is not a strength of Lucas' and until it improves, he will continue to be limited in what he can do on the court. My worry in watching him play last year was that he didn't take any jump shots and it doesn't look like much has changed. I hope someone is working with him on form and the like.

Seriously. His mechanics are kinda funky, and his release is very slow.
