3 freshmen playing big minutes = high variance. This team is missing the equivalent of its top draft pick from each of the last 3 years.

It is just not a great 3-point shooting team with Betley out and the offense does rely on 3s a great deal. Part of this is not having a great distributor at point guard. Goodman is better at driving to the basket and while Dingle is trying to penetrate and kick out, it is more a work in progress now.
We simply can't get Martz many good looks when he is the best shooter. Dingle can get the looks himself off the dribble, but is more of a streaky shooter.
Unfortunately there is not a great solution to this problem. Play good defense and hope the 3s fall is a recipe for upsets both good and bad.

Welcome to the Board. Yes, with all our injuries, we just do not have enough firepower on either side of the ball and are forced to ask of some of our guys a little more than they are capable of doing on a regular basis.

That's why we want so badly to get in. As we've seen all year, anything can happen and we owe the NJ team some payback.

Thanks. Occasionally read the board over the years but got into it more lately with ESPN+. It is fun watching this team even with their flaws.

Yes, ESPN+ and the advent of the Smart TV means that virtually every Penn game is live and in full high-def quality. It's truly amazing.
