If Betley is healthy enough to play, does Penn start with Brodeur, Simmons, Betley, Goodman and Dingle with Martz coming off the bench?

Yes, I think Simmons starts no matter what tonight.
My totally uneducated guess is that Betley only plays against Brown this weekend. If they can only have him for one game, that’s the one.

Key numbers for me from the last go around:
Yale wins the boards 34% to 14%. Yale shoots 9-for-39 on jumpers. Penn blocks 9% of Yale 2s and makes Yale shoot 10-for-22 around the rim. Eddie and AJ shoot a combined 5-for-6 from three, and the rest of the team shoots 5-for-21.
Penn bothering Yale around the rim is the type of metric that can be consistent. And Yale's rebounding advantage should sustain as well.
The shooting on both sides is sort of a blank slate, and that could be a big problem for Penn.
For as much as is made about Yale's defense, it is a better offensive team. Penn's not going to hold it to 0.9 ppp again - either Penn's going to give up a much higher percentage of 3PT shots than it usually does, like it did in the first meeting, and Yale will make more, or it will try harder to take away that shot and Atkinson will get to feast even more than in game one.
Harvard won four-straight at JJL, and three of those times it hit the 1.1/1.2 ppp range to grab those wins. Same seems to apply here... Penn's going to need to score a TON tonight.

I said this over on the Yale board, but over the last two weekends (i.e., since Bruner got injured against Harvard), Bruner has been very good on Fridays and very poor on Saturdays. If Yale gets Good Bruner, it's gonna go a long way towards getting a favorable result.

Also, Harvard has not, in fact, won 4 straight at JLA. 4 straight regular season games, sure.

HA! Yeah, that was implied but not stated.
Ironically enough, Harvard had its highest ppp in that postseason loss.
Those Sears/Sherrod teams played real rockfights at JJL, where 1.00 ppp was often enough, but this iteration of Yale... you usually have to flat outscore them there.

Betley is moving well, but can't get to the basket any better than before his injury.

Monroe hits a three, then Martz follows a Betley miss.
Surprised to see Dingle not starting.

Nice start, playing our offense well, despite our usual couple of mindbending turnovers. But getting very good shots

Betley has looked a little rusty, but that's to be expected. For the most part we're taking better care of the ball, which helps.

This offense looks so much better when the shots are falling, doesn't it?
