While I would love to see all the Ivy teams upgrade their facilities (other than the Ps), I can't imagine that there is a school less philosophically and financially likely to do it than Brown. But good luck--if you guys can get them to upgrade, it will shame everyone else.

I think there’s flexibility to upgrade around the edges, subject to fundraising initiatives, which are active. One thing MM has done is engaged alums at a level that’s very different from that of his predecessors. I imagine he took that from his days at Penn, although it’s not rocket science (for anyone but Brown.)
Actually Brown has done some significant upgrading in the past few years, with the new soccer / lacrosse facility, the new baseball and softball fields, the football locker room, the swim center, the new workout facility - to name a few. Jack Hayes deserves credit for that. None of the upgrades are mind-blowing, but they’re all quite nice and restore some pride in the programs at a time when few of our teams are winning consistently. These investments should help.

I would expect Brown to invest in the participation sports. Spectator sports? That would be a real change in the culture.

There are a.number of upgrades currently in the works for this year, including for BB locker room and. Coaches offices. A new practice facility may not be far off.
