We're making one! I guess that's the best news.
So far our buddy Jon Rothstein has reported that Harvard has agreed to a home and home with Iona starting at Iona in 2020 and a road game at Kansas.
Kansas is one of three states I haven't visited. Hmmm.

We almost beat Kansas in December of 2015. Tied after 33 minutes, lost 75-69

That's KU for you--Penn was down only 6 with 10 to go in Kansas in the 2018 NCAA's, when we got screwed over with a 16 seed (and no one will ever convince me that it wasn't related to the late ending of Ivy Madness).

Penn had zero Tier 1 or 2 wins in 2018. Under a more rational seeding system, it probably would have been a 14 or 15; under the system the NCAA seems to use, it was always going to get a 16. That's because, aside from cases where a team either has an exceptionally good or bad W-L record, the Committee just seems to use Tier 1 and 2 wins to determine the bottom four seed lines.

My speculation about the 2018 NCAA tournament and the seeding:
1. The selection committee probably made Cal. State Fullerton a 15 seed and likely Ivy tournament champion Harvard a 16 seed based, in part, upon Fullerton's regular season victory over Harvard in November.
2. When Penn defeated Harvard in the tournament final, the committee pulled Harvard off the board and replaced them with Penn. I agree that they probably did not bother reseeding because of the "late ending of Ivy Madness."
3. Fullerton did not have any significant non-conference victories that season and probably deserved to be below Penn on the seeding lines.
4. On the other hand, I do not agree that Penn was "screwed over" by the seeding. Penn received more favorable publicity arising out of the perceived unfairness of the seeding than it would otherwise have received. One prominent publication even predicted that Penn would be the first 16 seed to defeat a 1 seed (behind paywall).
4. Fullerton was sent to Detroit to play Purdue. While playing Purdue in Detroit would have been less of a home crowd disadvantage than playing Kansas in Wichita, Penn was on the bigger stage. It would be difficult to see Penn playing any better against Purdue than it did that afternoon against Kansas, particularly with Udoka Azubuike limited to three minutes of game time.
5. The public prediction that #16 Penn would defeat #1 Kansas eliminated any chance that Kansas would look past that game. However, that prediction enabled UMBC to remain in the shadows until their moment in the spotlight arrived the next evening against Virginia.
