I think Cornell is going to have a strong season in the Ivy League despite the 3-4 start. The Big Red is much better than their early season record.
Cornell's schedule to date has included 5 of its 7 games on the road. Two of those games (against Marist and Qunnipiac) were in sold out gyms in front of hostile crowds. Cornell also could have easily won all of its games, but seemed to collapse in the final five minutes of those lost games, especially the Marist and Northeastern games.
Three of Cornell's top 7 players (Rourke, Canady and Gant) are newcomers and are still gelling into the flow of the system. Big Red fans have much to look forward to with Ryan Rourke as he could emerge as Cornell's top player by February.
Games against Bucknell and Syracuse will be tremendous experiences for this squad and should help prepare them for the Ivy slate.
I agree with what you said. Dunno about the Ivies yet, but this team is starting to gel in terms of some of the chemistry with Rourke/Taylor/Collins. They are getting some much better inside looks, and taking better shots. Bucknell is always a good test for this team...Syracuse is interesting to see how they can hang with the big boys...
