Just committed. High upside recruit. 6’5†wing. Rated top 100 on some sites; I guess we will see.

Okay, but isn't it noteworthy that the ranking is from October, 2017?
Obviously, I'm happy he's coming to Columbia, but there is not much since then that would justify getting that far out over our skis.

Yes, he does not have much in the way of offers, at least on verbal commits. Only a couple of low majors.

Quron Zene, Jr. 04-23-20 03:23 PM - Post#306571

For New England Prep folks, it's best to look at the New England info. At NERR, he's 40th in 2021 (in that "likely Ivy contributor at some point in his career" zone), and he didn't win All-NEPSAC Honors of any sort (to be fair, I believe there was an injury there for some of the season...).
That's probably the best frame for now. Lots can change in a senior season, though.

Yes, if Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, and Colgate were interested in him, that is a more positive sign.

Berkshire School's coach has announced that Canin Reyonlds will be taking a postgraduate year at Berkshire. Reynolds has been listed for some time in Verbal Commits as our sole point guard recruit in the Class of 2020. I assume Eddie Miller is slated to be our starting point guard next season, but who will be the back-up?

Why wouldn’t Stefanini be the PG? He moved over when Smith got hurt two years ago and did great. My expectation is that Bibbs, Turner, and Stefanini are starters next year at the perimeter spots, but with Stefanini as lead guard.
Engles seems to prefer to have one guard as the focal point, for better or worse. Started with Hickman his first year, shifted to Smith about midway through, then Stefanini when Smith was hurt as a junior. Back to Smith this year with Stefanini out.

Hopefully, the incoming freshman class will make an immediate impact and be part of the 9 or 10 man rotation. Columbia will need a prolific scorer to help Stefanini which means that McLean and Antwi are both likely to see plenty of playing time.
