If you want to see why Brett Boretti is not only a great coach but a great person who cares about his players, read his profiles on the graduating seniors as they appear seriatim in gocolumbialions.com. He actually writes a separate profile on each graduating senior. Today he wrote about a walk on, Will West, an often injured Rhodes Scholar finalist. This speaks volumes to me about what makes for a great coach. While I have been up and down, though mostly down, about Engles, one thing for sure is that he has not shown any effort to reach out to alumni about his players.

Yes, Boretti is in a league of his own.

He is a less overbearing, more loyal version of Kyle Smith.
