Bucknell's day of giving to support athletic programs just finished. At the 2 PM deadline, there were 2651 donors who gave over $915,000 to various Bison teams in just over 24 hours. Given the country's current problems, this was a great showing - easily exceeding last year's $530k and 2150 donors.
Although the official campaign "day" is over, anyone who wants to can still donate.

Wow, to almost double giving over last year is incredible, even in “normal†times, let alone when there are so many areas of need in out there.

Agree. For some perspective, Holy Cross ended a similar one-day campaign for athletics 12 hours ago and had 1525 donors and $360,000. Bucknell's final tally was 2687 donors and $933,000. Of course no two situations are identical, but I think this gives some perspective into how well Bucknell did.

Results from the "One Herd One Day" giving campaign for athletics, which ended around noon today, are shown below. It's interesting to compare them to those of two years ago. The 2022 numbers will get higher as more contributions roll in from donor-advised funds etc.
, Team or Program . . . . . . . . . . Donors . . . . Raised ($)
- Baseball . . . . . . . . . . . . 231 . . . . $145,922
- Football (Gridiron) . . . . . . . . . . 296 . . . . $120,793
- Men's Golf . . . . . . . . . . . 68 . . . . $97,577
- Spiked Shoe Club (Track) . . . . . . . . . . 370 . . . . $95,820
- Women's Soccer . . . . . . . . . . 132 . . . . $57,732

- Men's Lacrosse . . . . . . . . . . 117 . . . . $52,050
- Women's Rowing . . . . . . . . . . 105 . . . . $45,655

- Women's Basketball . . . . . . . . . . 127 . . . . $19,239
- Women's Swimming . . . . . . . . . . 104 . . . . $18,141
- Women's Golf . . . . . . . . . . 38 . . . . $17,585
- Men's Water Polo . . . . . . . . . . 50 . . . . $15,850
- Softball . . . . . . . . . . . . 83 . . . . $15,727
- Women's Water Polo . . . . . . . . . . 45 . . . . $14,074
- Cheerleading . . . . . . . . . . 53 . . . . $8,292
- Women's Tennis . . . . . . . . . . 48 . . . . $7,705
- Bison Athletics Fund . . . . . . . . . . 64 . . . . $7,547
- Women's Athletics . . . . . . . . . . 10 . . . . $2,905
- Sport Medicine/Athletic Training . . . . . . . . . . 14 . . . . $1,225
- Strength & Conditioning . . . . . . . . . . 23 . . . . $786
- Athletics Leadership Institute . . . . . . . . . . 5 . . . . $365
- Athletics Pep Band . . . . . . . . . . 8 . . . . $205
The total dollars contributed in 2020 was about $925,000. This year it is $1,215,000 and rising.
The biggest decliner, by far, was men's soccer - which no doubt is a function of Brendan Nash's abrupt departure. Note that men's and women's basketball, and football, generate a lot of their revenue through the separate backcourt clubs and gridiron club.

Men's hoops has the benefit of a $25 k match from Mike Muscala...other teams had nice matches also, but almost half of the $53k is from Mike.

The women’s team actually had more donors than the men. I was one of them.
