New H C of the Houston Rockets! That's 2 Brown Grads as Pro H C's in Houston in the same year. Got to be an Ivy Record.

It's such great news. Steve is a terrific coach, totally unassuming but high impact. I graduated with him, and he was not bad at all as a 6th man for us when he was on College Hill.

Great news for the program.

Does anyone remember anything about him as a player? From link below he played all 4 years and scored 463 points at Brown.

He was my class and I watched him for four years. He was a big guard off the bench for most of his career with plus athleticism for the Ivy level. He was a decent outside shooter, but spent more time getting and finishing inside, threw down some dunks, and hitting the mid-range jumper. He was rail-thin and pretty quiet, but even then was known to read the game well. He always seemed to kill the Crimson and he was one of Brown's best players senior year. Still, I would not have picked him to be an NBA coach at the time, just because he seemed so quiet and soft-spoken.
