Now up to 13 cancelled this week as of this moment. College football is teetering on the edge...
Yea, they may be able to finish but seems to me the whole college basketball season is in jeopardy. Or at least they will need to postpone it. Virus spreading more each day and states and localities starting to tighten restrictions. Will be hard for the NCAA to justify playing.

What a shock...Do people that continually fall on the wrong side of history ever look back and reflect on their missteps, or do they just barrel forward with their asinine opinions that affect the rest of us who believe in facts? Sigh. You'd think a deadly virus would actually wake people up to the propaganda they are being fed but here we are.

Ugh. Had to explain to elderly relatives that NYC school closings doesn't mean that NYS is worse off than Florida. Florida has more new cases despite less testing, higher postivity rate, and more daily deaths and total COVID hospitalizations. Gov down there seems to be claiming that his open approach works better because Florida apparently isn't need to shut anything down like NY. UGH.
Oh, and they think that zinc is the next Hydroxychloroquine! Can't make this up.

They were pushing zinc at the very beginning of the pandemic--I remember that zinc lozenges were sold out of every drug store.

Coldeeze stock used to pop up in health emergencies. Mayo Clinic, FDA and NIH have published that there is no evidence of zinc helping here and FDA has sent warning letter to companies. Good thing my in-laws have neighboring octagenarians to override this 'fake news' though.

OK, i confess. I have been taking Airborne since the spring. I figure it cannot hurt. I know it's not proven to stop colds let alone COVID but what the heck. No HCL for me though.

The rifle team coach when I was at Penn-- who was also the Marine liaison to the NROTC unit-- used to refer to that sort of thing as 'raising your own morale.'

I'm sure you know this, but people prefer to re-direct for alternative explanations, no matter how far-fetched, to support existing beliefs rather than confront the emotional trauma of admitting they may not have been right, especially when encouraged to do so by those in charge.
A recent WaPo article described people dying of Covid who continued to argue with their doctors that the virus is a hoax, as they were expiring.

Some are still tweeting out denials from their Twitter accounts after they've already expired.
