Perhaps Loyola Chicago is trying to adopt the "Ivy Grad Transfer All-Star Team" model that some have suggested before haha. They already have commitments from Schwieger and Knight, and showing interest in Djuricic and Choh. Get those 2 and then grab 1 of the available transfers from Columbia, Cornell, Penn and Yale and they'll have a full set

It has been interesting to watch the playing time and performance of IL transfers who are playing big time BB -- Aikens, Barry, Bruner, Smith, Towns etc. Several of the players have been hindered by injuries which surely impacts playing time and performance. By and large, they are contributors but not major factors as to the success of their teams. The one transfer from a few years ago -- Desmond Cambridge -- probably has been the exception as he plays 31 minutes per game and is the second leading scorer on a 14-7 Nevada team.
It makes you wonder how will the next batch, and a large batch, of IL BB transfers perform. I think that it is fair to say that there is a big jump going from IL BB to Power 5 basketball even for the best of IL players. On a different note, it has been a big step up for Coach Banghart to go to ACC basketball. Last year's team was 16-14 and this year , UNC us 9-8 although her team just knocked off #4 team in the country.
Another question is how far is IL men's BB away from legitimately being a two bid league.
