Jake Tavroff, 6'9" 230 C at Northfield Mount Hermon. From Long Island. Co-Captain. Ranked 15 in MA and 34 in New England by New England Recruiting Report. Verbal Commits lists an offer from Austin Peay. He is known for being a strong rebounder and back-to-the basket player. Obviously a great prep school program.

Wow, that's good news! He appears to be a perfect fit for the Lions who needed a talented center to round out what appears to be a very promising incoming class. All of a sudden it seems like things are looking up for Columbia Basketball.

He reminds me of a taller Alex Rosenberg coming out of Alex’s PG year—hard nosed and not afraid of mixing it up, yet with the athletic skill to play an inside/outside game.
