Teams with All Ivy Players handling the ball and scoring can be expected to have a leg up to make the tournament.
I'm thinking:
Swain
Llewelyn
Choh
Kirkwood
Dingle
No room for one of these teams in March though

I'm still not really in "thinking about the season" mode, so don't hold me to any of this, but I'd probably go:
1. Harvard
2. Yale
3. Brown
4. Princeton
5. Penn
6.7.8. CCD in some order
Still unclear what I'd do with a neutral site final, but Harvard getting to host gives it the edge over Yale. Both teams have real upside with the talent they've brought in - I just like Harvard's a bit better. Yale's floor is higher than Harvard's though.
Brown adding back Choh and bringing on Wojcik is some pretty massive work since we started this thread a couple months ago. I don't think this makes Brown good offensively, but it might make them average, and a 175 offense paired with a Top 100 defense gets you well inside the Top 150, which should be good enough for the ILT.
Still need to know more about Jaelin's injury to have a good read on Princeton.
To some extent, the saving grace for Penn is that StevieD is the coach. He'll find a way to get the best out of the pieces that he has. That'll stave off a disaster season, but I just don't see there being enough to compete with those other four teams. Only have to pick off one of them, though.

So you put zero value in the 2 top recruits who have not played a minute for Penn and think that the best collection of freshmen (in terms of their play on the court, not necessarily recruiting rating) 2 years ago also means little.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, in my opinion, a body of work on the court is worth a lot more than a recruiting ranking. But this will be a perfect opportunity to compare. There is no way in my mind that this Penn team is heading for any kind of "disaster". But still a long way off to see who is right.

Was a little surprised by the Princeton rank at first, until I saw your comment on Jaelin. If his health is in question, that makes a huge difference. Could make an argument for #2 with him. Without him, they could be #5. So somewhere in between with health unknown makes sense.

So the reason is because we lost Brodeur/Betley/Goodman. AJ was generational and you're not factoring that in enough, P38.
I was also going to say that the freshmen class was overrated, I mean Dingle had fallen out of the starting lineup after a good start.
But what was interesting was that his last 4 games, 3 of them were pretty great! Yes aided by hotter 3 point shooting, but I'll take that for sure. I have no memory of that whatsoever but the world was starting to fall apart so IDK.
What's weird is that the last 4 games of the season, the leading scorer was AJ, in the 5th last game, Dingle was the leading scorer - and had a pretty good game against Harvard in a 4 point loss... and THEN he gets kicked out of the starting lineup in the next game? WTF?

I don't remember Dingle not being in the starting lineup other than on Senior Day. But next week, I am starting on an everyday Prevagen regimen. Seriously though, Jeff, I would think that you of all people would be gung ho about the potential athleticism of this Penn team. Dingle, Monroe, Charles, Lorca-Lloyd, a shooter/rebounder in Martz, Washington, Williams and Wang. That's before we consider any of our freshmen. Just the 5 returning 2019 freshmen has me optimistic. No more 6 foot guards--this is a big athletic team. No one will push them around nor out-run them. I think that Penn will be far better than most of the posters here believe them to be.
But then again, let's see if I still feel that way after the Prevagen.

You forgot Jelani, who will be a factor, even a more limited one after his injuries.
I think the coaches believe they can compete for an IL Title, not just a 4th place spot. Slachjert may be our leading scorer as a Frosh. We will be legitimately 10 deep.
I would be surprised if this team isn't in Cambridge in March.

Yes, when Betley came back from his injury, he replaced Dingle in the starting lineup. So Betley started for him the last four games. By then, the staters had solidified as AJ/Martz/Goodman/Monroe. Dingle was starting with them up to the Yale game, and then Betley replaced him for the last four. Dingle was still getting more than 20 minutes per game.

Have we learned anything about Slajhert from his time on campus? I've always been a little wary about guys coming in with gaudy scoring stats at high schools playing in smaller school divisions.
Does seem like the quintessential gym rat, so I'm willing to be hopeful.

aaah. It has been so long since we have seen him I forgot his last name. I really hope the kid has a great year, for his sake. Been through quite a bit.
Slachjert, from what I have heard, is going to be a stud.
