With Brown's schedule coming out earlier this week, I'll start to piece together (guess) the MBB schedule.

Hi RBG - unlike years past, the Brown schedule does not provide transparence into the complete Yale schedule ... the overall schedule is different this year and there will be fewer back to back weekends with the traditional travel partners.

1. It appears that weeks 2, 6 and 8 are to be traditional travel weekends. If so,
Week 2 and Week 6 would be Penn and Princeton vs. Columbia and Cornell (home teams, yet unknown)
Week 8 would be Columbia and Cornell vs. Harvard and Dartmouth (home teams, yet unknown)
2. On the other hand, I believe that JDP is correct. On Week 1, the fact that Brown is at Penn does not mean that Yale is at Princeton. Any matchup is possible that week and on Weeks 3 (Saturday game), 4, 5, 7 and 9.
3. The Ivy League already announced that Week 10 will be traditional travel partner games, Penn vs. Princeton, Columbia vs. Cornell and Harvard vs. Dartmouth (home teams, yet unknown).
4. On the other hand, it is not necessarily true that Monday, January 17 will be a traditional travel partner day, just because Brown is playing Yale. Other matchups are possible. All we know is that Week 3 is intended as a split weekend, with the home team on Saturday being the road team on Monday, and vice versa.

Thanks for the input.
Breaking up the travel partners - as if this new schedule isn't wild enough....
Interesting that Brown's two games against Harvard are on Friday and the Dartmouth games are on Saturday. Does anyone know the last time the return games weren't in reverse order?
Since Monday 1/17 is MLK Day and classes resume on Tuesday, it would make sense to have travel partners play each other.

The dates are something else too—starting the conference season bang off of the Christmas week break (or the Maui invite, if a team should be so lucky). Gonna be some iiiiiiiinteresting results that first game back, I think.

One thing I'm glad is gone: the back-to-backs against your travel partner (unless you were Penn and Princeton and got to avoid that for some reason). Playing the same team twice in a row adds a lot of randomness that I never liked.

I've seen Penn fans are disappointed about their lack of OOC home games. That might pale in comparison to Harvard's Ivy League home schedule.
Home games vs Colgate and Northeastern over Thanksgiving as well as home games vs Howard, Princeton, Brown and Yale over winter recess will be empty. Penn (Jan 19th) at home is also a week before spring semester starts.
The Ivy Tournament is over Spring Recess!
This new schedule is awful for students.
As for home games, here's how it looks:

Nov 27 Northeastern - Thanksgiving
Dec 1 Rhode Island

11 of 16 home games over holidays - assuming two tournament games. Only 3 vs Div 1 opponents.

And to think we all were looking forward to the day that Princeton finally went to December Finals so we could start the Ivy season in mid-January after the students returned and have the tournament the first week of March (along with most other mid-major conferences)

I have heard that ESPN told the Ivy League that if its tournament was not played on Selection Sunday weekend, ESPN would not televise it.
It is not a surprise that the league did not move the tournament.
