Expected to miss 3-4 months due to upcoming back surgery.
Great talent. Great kid. Don't know what he did to deserve all this.

Ohio State's Seth Towns (back) is targeting a "mid-to-late" December return barring something unforeseen, per Chris Holtmann. Towns averaged 3.8 PPG and 2.2 RPG last season.

After the tough news on Aiken, I looked up any updates on Seth Towns. Disappointing news.
Last week, it was announced he’s officially out for the year due to a back problem that needed surgery. Since he didn’t play this season, he still had one year of eligibilty left.

- Towns is just someone you can’t count on to be on the floor for this team until you see it happen. To be honest, I’m not sure we ever will see him on the floor again. He’s had two major knee injuries and now a major back injury. How is he going to get himself on the court, let alone be effective when he’s out there?
Towns does, somehow, have eligibility left for next season. He could return for a seventh year of school and try to help the Ohio State basketball team in 2022-23. Personally, I don’t see that happening. The kid is just so snakebit I could see him hanging it up. -

How old is he? He is probably off his parents insurance by now! Tom Brady would be proud.

Good luck to him. A talented kid who has persevered through a lot of bad luck.

Ohio State's Justice Sueing (abdominal) has been fully cleared for all basketball related activities, per Chris Holtmann.
Sueing only appeared in two games last season after averaging 10.7 PPG and 5.5 RPG in 2020-21.
Seth Towns (back) is still not cleared.

Looks like Seth Towns is stepping away from his last year of college basketball.

Sad conclusion to his college career--just could not overcome constant injuries. At one time, the best player in our League. Good luck to him in other pursuits.

It shows how unpredictable injuries can be. Watching the ultra-smooth Towns play, I never would have expected him to be straining his body so much.
Best of luck in whatever new endeavors he pursues.
