I know this is a basketball forum, but I just noticed our men's hockey (2-0) is #13 in latest poll and women (1-1) are #9. Men are top ranked among ECAC and women are top ranked among Ivy. Would be nice to have a strong year, although I thought the men's team had lost a lot of talent to the NHL.

Interesting to see a Donato and Fusco (Mark's son) on the men's squad. Men beat Dartmouth 9-3 in ECAC opener and play Cornell this weekend.

How do they match up with Penn?

Is it correct that Brown hasn't had a winning season since 2004?

Yeah, I know. I'm still bitter that my class was the last one to see a Penn Div 1 hockey team, despite having a hockey arena. Columbia has an excuse--Penn does not. Strikes a nerve with me.

At least until MBB starts, I'm paying attention to Harvard Hockey. Men swept Cornell (3-2) and Colgate (5-1) to move to 4-0 on the season. Currently ranked #10 due to late start and young team, despite being the only undefeated team in the nation. Big test tonight vs. Northeastern at 7pm. 4th game in 3 days!

Team has 11 NHL draftees, including a first rounder, and carries at least 3 legacies (John Fusco, Jack Donato and Ian Moore). Another Fusco is committed for next year within another strong recruiting class.

Team scoring has depth boasting 6 of the top 8 scorers in the ECAC (thus far).

Hockey has been strong. Very good in open ice. Watching Northeastern game on NESN. Will be a real challenge coming off the two weekend games.
