Just received an email urging me to buy a ticket for our opener against Morehouse at Lavietes. Player photo featured in the solicitation is Senior Spencer Freedman. Haven't heard much about Spencer in years. He is now 23 years old. Smart player who could be the best 3 point and free throw shooter on the roster (6 for 6 in his limited Crimson career). Strength, ability to finish, and defense were his weaknesses as a freshman.

Wonder if he'll be in the mix this season? Amaker used to make sure Bryce was on the court down the stretch when he know the other team would be fouling. How about Spencer?

Both Freedman and Michael Wang came out of Mater Dei very highly regarded. Both college careers have been devastated by injuries, although Freedman seemed to have fallen out of favor fairly early on in his freshman season.

Hope he’s able to contribute. The ability to have someone make free throws down the stretch is like having a mini-Mariano (ok that overstates it a bit) in the bullpen.
