I watched the Penn-FSU game last night, and read all of the teeth gnashing on the Penn board this morning. I will admit to a certain amount of agita approaching Friday night. Our front line will need to be better prepared than they were on Tuesday. I’m still optimistic however.

I hear your concern, OB. I will be OK if Da’ Bears can keep the final score within 20 points. And if the team can hold it’s own during periods of the game, and if some individual efforts show promise on such a big stage. No one expects a Brown victory. But if the team and players gain experience and confidence that they can carry forward, it will be worth the trip. Personally, my greater concern is the 9:00 start, and my ability to stay awake to listen to the broadcast.

Am here at the game. Looks like Choh is not playing due to hip. What a shame - for us and for him.

Bruno, we look pretty good tied 21-21 with 11:37. How does that make you feel?

This is not your father’s Brown team! Deeper, more mature and more talented. It’s early, but expect them to make the Ivy tournament.

Amazing first half. Some of the most fun I’ve ever had watching a live basketball game.

What a super effort by our Bears! I hate to lose. But I’m proud of the effort and very excited about the season ahead.

I saw the Brown scores on the crawl under the game I was watching and was impressed, to say the least. The league may have more drama than some predicted pre-season.

Wow, down 3 with a minute to play! No Choh, Ganey played 10 minutes with the foul trouble and Mitchell fouled out. I will anxiously await Bruno’s in-person analysis, but what a performance from our first years. I hope the travel doesn’t take a toll on us with a quick turnaround against Quinnipiac. One game does not a season maker and I’m sure there will be hiccups along the road, but there sure is a fun fun team to watch. Friday and Nana were Terrific.

Awesome effort! I watched the final 10 minutes and suffered flashbacks to Jacksonville in 2015. Really fun game for fans until the end. Followed by disappointment, then pride, then an eternal case of the what-if’s.
Really impressed by Brown’s depth. Having watched Harvard and Penn, the Bruins are currently much better than either. Princeton looked good last evening in it’s win over South Carolina and Yale is rolling. With Choh, Brown might be the class of the league this season. Mike Martin is a great in-game coach.
Those Brown fans who attended must have walked around proudly after the game. It was funny to watch the UNC fans on TV cheering wildly and proudly as UNC’s veteran roster eked out a win over a depleted rusty Brown squad.

It was such a fun game. Incredible atmosphere. Even UNC fans were saying that. Brown played magnificently, and drove the ball time after time inside. Didn’t shoot or make a lot of threes. Friday, Nana, Lilly and Cooley all opened eyes. Friday played one of the best games I’ve seen from a Brown point guard. Strong, confident, calm. Blew me away. Nana was amazing. Lilly is a player. And Brown did it without their top three frontcourt players given the refs fouling out Gainey and Mitchell. But that gave Lilly and Cooley more time than they would have had, and they played great. Wojick carried the team for a portion of the first half. Meren contributed. Ferrari and Cowan did good things. Ultimately a great player in RJ Davis hit two huge threes late and that was the game. Fantastic performance.
