Kind of a meh game in the early going.

Bucknell is certainly a step down on the competitive level, but we're still not looking great.

Up 20-18 at the first time out.

Defense still a big issue. Having trouble guarding anyone, although at least the rebounding is in fairly decent shape.

Dingle really the only Quaker who can create anything. For the most part, other than a nice pass from Slachjert to a cutting Wang for a bucket and 1 (which was not converted), we've had trouble setting up any kind of good looks. Some outside threes have been hit, but Bucknell has basically been giving us those.

That's the second way out of control, horribly bad pass by Spinoso with no defender even pressuring him on it.

Williams, at least in this game and the FSU game, doesn't seem to have the strength to finish when he goes up in close for a shot or tip in when defenders are next to him.

28-24 at the under 4:00 media timeout. 5-16 on 2s, most of those at the rim.

Slachjert not a smart foul lunging at a 3 point attempt, 3 shots coming for Bucknell.

I hope Martz can come back soon. Dingle looks like he's trying to do everything--a lot of pressure on him. We would look a lot worse out there without him.

A few heady turnovers caused by Penn, leading to buckets by Dingle and Williams. 34-29 with under a minute to play.

Now Monroe called for contact with a 3 point shooter (and this one from way, way beyond the line).

Monroe not happy.

Neither is Donahue.

34-32 as Bucknell converts all 3 FTs.

That's where we are at, halftime. Charles missed a good look at a 3. A minute or two earlier, Dingle had set him up nicely for another wide open 3 but again he could not convert.

Wang (looks to be hurt) and MLL (early foul trouble) have barely played today.

Spinoso overall has actually been one of the better guys out there--would be even better without the unforced turnovers.

“How do you leave him open?”

Exactly.

Interestingly, SD is having others bring the ball up (Monroe, Williams) to see if they can generate some offense while Dingle is on the wing. So far they haven't really succeeded.

MLL back in the game. Not doing much on offense, although he is making his presence known on defense.

Down 40-37 at the first time out. Dingle had been taken out but this will give him some more rest.

Twice now they've let Funk get a look at 3 on inbound plays.

Which is in keeping with letting him get wide open looks on run of play too.

Jelani’s inability to finish inside is just painful.

Now they have Slachjert bringing it up.

But again, nothing really happens until Dingle transforms it into a rare open 3 look for Slachjert, which he hits.

With Moskowitz unable to hit inside after an offensive rebound, now 8-27 on 2s.

After finally making a layup, Dingle blows his next attempt.
