Gutsy win over a pretty good team. Brown didn’t really shoot it well but toughed it out with great defense.

Looking at KenPom, Brown was 241 and Bradley was 195.

Bradley took the lead late, but the Bears recovered. A great block by Friday and a transition three from Wojcik in the last minute was huge.

They're now in Monday's 4th/6th place against the winner of Duquesne and Colorado.

I believe since Colorado beat Duquesne we should be playing them. Much tougher matchup to play CU than Duquesne would be.

Great to get a gritty win like this. Defense was effective but the best asset was using Bradley’s aggressiveness against them by getting to the line so much. That was more than the difference in the game. 24 FTs to Bradley’s 8. Hard to believe that would be possible. But Brown was aggressive drawing fouls. And note MM only played 9.

Sounds like Choh is back. Will see if he plays a 3rd game in 4 days. Still seems like he’s favoring his leg some. He’s out of rhythm still, but still managed to grab 8 rebounds and 3 assists to lead the team. Even not at full strength he does so much.

Wojcik is struggling. His late three seemed like a terrible shot - until he hit it. Things will get much easier for Brown if he makes more of his shots. I like the aggressiveness but he has to convert more. Friday continues to impress. Teardrop wasn’t landing this game but he co ti ies ti go to the hoop and make plays.
LET'S go BRU-no (duh. nuh. nuh-nuh-nuh)

As Bruno notes, MM may be ready to settle on a top 9 rotation. The depth enabled the Bears to win that game. Most years we hope to have a decent starting 5 and get some help from the bench. Bradley wins that game and starts to right their season (BTW, first time in 10 games that an Ivy has ever beaten Bradley). We lose and the optimism of a new campaign starts to slip. But this year is different. The depth and talent level allows the team to pick up the D pressure, for Friday to get an awesome block in crunch time, and for Wojcik to hit a clutch 3. If we can win the second of the three Paradise games tomorrow we will have momentum heading into the battle we’ll have with Bryant at the Pitz next Friday.

I heard that Choh had a hip problem. I hope the medical staff has told him to play himself into game shape, rather than “play until you can’t anymore”. He took a PG year to extend his career at Brown and to have the chance to be a part of this group. With a fully heathy Choh, this will be one of Brown Basketball’s best all-time teams.
