Both of the women's games this weekend have been postponed. The team site isn't talking and the DP has been remarkably incurious (aren't they supposed to be learning to be journalists?), but given that the press release says that Penn is having Covid issues as well, combined with neither one of them being present for the Brown game, I'm going to guess that Padilla and Kovacikova are currently in quarantine. Something else we didn't need, not to mention that rescheduling these games is going to be a pain in the butt.

The DP has the same issue the teams have---they rely on freshmen and sophs to write the articles and aside from the fact that almost no one who joins the DP anymore cares about sports (they only write for sports to get bylines), no one writing has actually seen any games in 2 years, which means ever.
When my daughter was writing for the DP (2011-13), there were still a few who cared. No more. It's not curiously incurious---it's just no one cares.

Well, that's a shame, given how many sportswriters they have cranked out in the past.

Columbia and Penn have rescheduled their game for Wednesday 1/26/22 at 6:00 pm.
Tough 8 day stretch for the Quakers:
Saturday 1/22/22 at Yale (3-1)
Wednesday 1/26/22 at Columbia (2-0)
Saturday 1/29/22 vs Harvard (2-3)
Then, they get Columbia and Cornell at home on 2/4/22 and 2/5/22.
Emsbo was out against Brown and it seems it was due to an injury. Not sure if she will play on Saturday.
