Davis with 21, Patrick with 15, Hsu with 9.
We were 0/20, but they weren't much better at 2-17.
I will continue to predict incorrectly if it will be of any help.

Didn't David win?!
I guess that’s what is known as foreshadowing!
Well, David was 0 for 20 from distance.

A remarkable comeback victory by the grittiest women's basketball team ever. Davis and Patrick were incredible. So who are the eight teams remaining in the WNIT?

The game consisted of two halves in which one team only scored 18 pts--first us and then them.
Biggest last minute victory since Rosenberg beat Harvard 55-54 at Harvard in 2015 (?).

Well, UCLA just knocked off Wyoming in 3OT.
Just checked Wyoming's WNIT schedule. They won their first round game in OT and won their second round game in 3OT. That's nearly a full extra game right there in minutes worth of OT.

I agree T69. Lions are gaining experience which should help next season. Hope they go all the way. Nothing would be better than a 2 bid league. Tigers certainly prove the best Ivy team can hold it's own. Why not 2 again?

Well, that says something about the quality of the team when they can just be utterly abysmal in one important facet, but do well in the others and still beat a pretty good team. Obviously, they played fabulous defense, and judging from the highlights, they were just picking BC apart inside at the end there; all sorts of easy layups. I also like at the end how the security (most of whom appear to be students themselves) makes a token effort to keep the fans off the court, and then says, "Screw it" and start jumping around as well. So now you've got a cross-river matchup against the Hall, who are very hot: 14 wins in the last 16 games. On the other hand, they didn't have nearly the kind of quality wins that BC had (although they did beat Princeton, for what that's worth), so I think you've got a good chance, particularly being at home again.

Beat Seton Hall, and we'd play UCLA.
Or Oregon State, as the case may be (the game's at Corvallis.) There are no neutral sites in this one at all, even for the final, right?

I also have to say that BC deserved to lose for their uniforms alone; what are they thinking with those?

Yes, that's one of those erroneous internet viruses I passed on.
We play the winner of UCLA and Oregon State. Shades of 1968, when we probably would have played UCLA if we had not lost to Davidson.

Well said dperry, your post gave me a chuckle… “screw it”. That summed it up well.
This NIT run has reminded me of three things:
- The men’s team in 2016 who were very solid, but not quite good enough for the Ivy title. They had one nice win on the road and a string of wins at home… who can forget Maodo’s fadeaway jumper at the buzzer at Valpo?
- The pain and misery of so many losing seasons of Columbia basketball. Even this season… we’d normally be jumping for joy supporting a team who went 13-0 vs Ivy teams not named Princeton. But the Tigers crushed our souls in straight sets… wasn’t remotely close to a title.
- The fans and alumni who endured all of those losing seasons. I don’t know if Gerry Sherwin supported the women’s team, but if he did, he would have enjoyed this ride.
