First commit for the '23 class is Luke Paragon, a 6'4" SG who just graduated from Cicero North Syracuse HS and will do a prep year at Blair Academy in New Jersey. From the clips and some of the write-ups I've been able to find, it seems that he's a sharpshooter who plays with a lot of energy. It seems like the coaching staff has been focusing on players who can shoot from beyond the arc, which makes sense given that three players who arrived with the reputation of being good 3PT shooters - Cowan, Watts, and Wojcik - are set to graduate.

Brown was his first and only offer. Interesting how quickly Paragon and Wrisby-Jefferson committed - both received an offer and committed within the same week. Neither were highly recruited, so will be interesting to see if they have breakout senior/post-grad seasons.

Another commit for Brown:
PG Adrian Uchidiuno (Cushing Academy) - 6'3", 165
This is the most exciting commit of the cycle thus far for me. The guy is top 25 in New England according to Prep Hoops and has yet to reach his ceiling, or so some scouts say.
The most recent highlights I could find are from this summer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3 0&... Seems like a confident three-point shooter who isn't afraid to get into paint. Also showed a willingness to mix it up on defense.
If Mike and co. can sign a big man, I think this class is set. Perhaps the staff will take a chance on an under-recruited wing player - although Wrisby-Jefferson might already be that guy.

One more commit:
PF N'Famara Dabo (Prolific Prep) - 6'8", 225
Had offers from Harvard, UC Davis and Pacific - but doesn't seem as if Harvard or Pacific were really involved at the end. He's got an incredible story, which Eric Bossi from 24/7 Sports covers here: https://247sports.com/Article/College-baske tball-r...
As far as his game, he seems to be a glue guy, someone who grabs rebounds, gets putback baskets, and does the dirty work on the defensive end. He comes in with good size - he's 30 pounds heavier than Gainey when he matriculated. Will be nice to have him overlap with Owusu-Anane and Ndur so that there's continuity in the front court.

Yet another. From someone who has watched Brown Hoops for 60 years, this young man is not your usual Bear recruit. A young man from Greece playing at Hun School. Interest from Mt. Saint Mary’s, Lehigh, and St. Joe’s.
Symeon Efstathiou - 6-9 200. Runs the floor well, goes to the hoop strong, good shooting form, good passer.
Lot’s on highlights available. Seems to be an excellent get.
