Certainly for Columbia, they have to do it this year, or they're going to have to wait for quite a while. After this year, Griffith loses a senior class with Davis, Patrick, Hannah Pratt, Sienna Durr, Carly Rivera and a couple others. The roster shows only 2 sophomores and 2 freshmen ("first years"), so unless she recruits a large group to come in next year, she's going to have a small team, with only Hsu and Henderson at the level to compete with Princeton's contingent, which will return Mitchell, Chen and Nweke for another year.

They'll need more than just a large group. It will have to be A+ quality also because if they can't beat Princeton with Davis, Patrick, etc., how are they going to beat the Tigers without them? Same goes for Penn losing Padilla and Harvard with Forbes and McCarthy gone after this year. As with the last two years, the Tigers will lose some quality players again after this year but what returns and what's waiting in the wings, at this point at least, is far superior to what everyone else has.

Video clips are very impressive, as is her habitus. Should be able to hold her own in the paint against some of the top 25 teams.

I have heard nothing about any Princeton interest in Abigail Wright--Ethan's sister and Ellen DeVoe's daughter.
One recruiting site puts her #3 in New England, with Margo Mattes at #5.
Any sense if there is a potential match here, and if not, why not? You'd think that the combination of her skill set and Princeton's academics, Top 25 status, marquee coach and legacy ties might be persuasive.

She has offers from Harvard, Columbia, Penn, Cornell and several other schools but no P5 offers and nothing (yet at least) from her parents’ alma maters (Princeton and Yale).

Is it clear that the lack of interest is on Princeton’s side? Without talking to the Wrights, there’s no way of knowing what the family discussions have been on this. The recruiting site you refer to shows that Columbia, Cornell, Harvard and Penn have shown interest to some degree, but Princeton is not on her list. That leads me to believe that she might be the one who lacks interest. There are plenty of Ivy League examples where a sibling doesn’t follow an elder to the same place: Peter and Conner Boehm, Louis and Lola Lesmond, the Emsbo twins. And even when kid follows a mother who was a star player to her school, there’s no guarantee he’ll stay, as in Evan Boudreaux leaving Dartmouth after a year or two.
The main worry is that she’ll go to one of the other Ivies, become a star and come back to haunt us. At least Duke didn’t have to deal with Bella Alarie at UNC, NC State or Georgia Tech.

Riley Weiss has committed to Columbia. I believe Princeton had made her an offer. Big scorer from LI who was a gold medalist in the U-18 tourney at the Maccabiah games this summer.
Looks like a great get for Megan Griffith. The caliber of player coming into the league keeps going up.

Abby Wright just tweeted her commitment to Harvard. Staying in her backyard and improving the quality of the league. Best of luck to her.

In today's Washington Post, Fadima Tall (Georgetown Visitation) joins the long (and getting longer) line of WaPo First Team All Met honorees to come to Princeton:
"The versatile Princeton-bound forward averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds while leading her team to an independent School League title over vaunted Sidwell Friends."
Even though she has been listed at 5'11", from the WaPo photo, she's at least 6'0", which is a pleasant surprise.
I attended the Sidwell game before a packed house at Holton-Arms, which included Justice Kavanaugh and Brenda Frese, among others. A great win, 60-57.

The Princeton class of 27 recruits are shown in the link. The heights I got from a quick google search, which differ slightly from some of the heights shown in this thread, in order of listing in the article are: 5-8, 5-10, 5-7, 6-0, 5-10 and 5-11. Fadima Tall is listed by ESPN as their 64th highest rated recruit.
