And Princeton blew out UMBC. Then Yale won a tough one at Hawaii. ISTM that all the Ivy teams are trying to figure out what they have and who is going to lead them. Certainly PU is still figuring things out on both ends, with lots of freshmen vying for minutes and the oft-injured Kellman playing a new role as a low-post center.

Getting better. Still a tough start for the league. Yale is the only team with a win against anyone in the top 300 so far.

Not much of a surprising start.
Appears that Yale (KP 133) and Princeton (132) are evidencing why they are expected to be at the top of the league. Penn (178) would be as well, had they not been routed by a 36-4 run (!) by Iona over 17 minutes in their opener.
Cornell (204) and Harvard (214) are still finding themselves, have talent, but appear to be missing key pieces. Brown (253) has some strong returning guard play, but the graduated bigs (Gainey/Choh) need to be replaced.
Dartmouth (278) and Columbia (336) are searching, although Columbia appears to have a strong freshmen class.

I'm not so bullish on Princeton's results so far - they're being buoyed by leaving UMBC as a grease spot on the floor of their own arena (which was obviously a good result), but they did lose to Navy two nights before Navy lost on that same floor to KP 302 Coppin State.
So far, they look like they're missing the reliability of Llewellyn and Wright out there, but Aririguzoh is still strong in all facets and the shooting is still there. Princeton's noncon isn't particularly meaty, but I'll be interested to see how they do against Iona - a good showing there would make me feel better about them.

Hah! I mean Evbuomwan, of course - although if they did have Aririguzoh I don't think they'd have lost to Navy.

Can we all bring back a recent grad? The league needs it.

I would settle for the guys who lost a year to COVID and are playing elsewhere.

First truly good night for the league last night. 3-0 with the 2nd, 6th, and 7th biggest wins of the year based on kenpom. Baby steps.
