Awesome game.
Amaker outcoached a big time opposing coach and experienced big program transfers in the first half while Ledlum (25pts/10ths) was awesome and Ajogbor (14pts/6tbs) had a breakout effort against a talented 6’10” and 255 lb opposing center.

Game was determined, in my estimation, when Tretout was run over late in the first half and didn’t return. Hope he’s ok because three quality guards aren’t enough, at least not against an athletic team like UMass. Amaker eventually realized that he needed to play Tyler Simon over Wojcik, but by then Harvard’s 10 pt lead had dwindled and the damage was done.

Also, Okpara’s foul trouble hurt as he scored 9 points before fouling out in only 13 minutes.

Foul shooting was a pleasant surprise at 21 of 28 but three point shooting remains woeful (3-13).

Overall, a fun game and awesome effort against a strong team. Time to recover against Tufts and Howard before traveling to IC Irvine and Kansas.

Box score observation. UMass is bigger and deeper than any Ivy squad. Pleased that our frontcourt shot 16-24, but disappointed that our guards shot 6-21.
