The Bulldogs come to my dear home state to play another Bulldog team with navy and white colors. I've watched some Butler games and I have to confess that I wasn't terribly impressed. They have some talent (of course) and a big 6'11 rim protector, but this is a very gettable game for Yale.
And of course, Yale gets to play in the most historic arena in the country - way better than that dump in Philly

Didn’t shoot well enough in 2nd half
Whistle was tough when it mattered.
But they hit shots and we cldnt get over hump.
we battle tho which bodes well.
Jarvis battled hates well when in there. but he’s a load. Big athletic and has touch.

also I think the aggressive hands on ball screens in 1st half were rough.
Disrupted offense and ref had no whistle
Continued into 2nd half
power/road teams all do it and u need a whistle or abandon it and exploit overplay
Bez did this pretty well
But it was a late adjustment in 1h
Damage done and put stress on timely shooting
They won that battle
Impressed w all the bigs in game on both sides

I agree with basically everything you said. EJ has shown out these past few games. The uneven officiating was really really poor, and it worked to Yale's detriment. That being said, the offense failed to adjust until way too lat in the first half, and by then the hole was pretty big.
I thought the defense was largely solid but Butler hit contested shot after contested shot, so you just tip your cap and move on with those.
This is the first game I've watched where I've thought that Yale looks like a young team. It's good to see how unselfish they are, but someone needs to be willing and able to be the guy that looks for shots when things aren't working. Knowling was that guy to start the season, but he's been quiet lately. Will be interesting to see how the team develops and grows as the season progresses.

Bez is a big time driver of the basketball
this is the alternative set so to speak
But his 3 ball is so off that guys are generally cushioning him
And pressuring the right and left handoff
Need to be tougher w the ball generally but a lot of handsy behavior so hard to tell from afar
I sensed guys felt off on shot and u didn’t have an alpha emerge
The exception is bez late fist half
But he can’t make a 3 ball to save his life
a lot of balls rimmed out to start along w tos was frustrating
Lastly that Lithuanian kid hit the most timely 4 3s u cld hit
It was crazy
What do u do? At the end I deny him and make him drive
But that’s bc of what he did first half
He was the problem
