Let's just move on from the opener, shall we? Yale hasn't played very many home games, but the two home games they played against D1 competition were masterful (29 point win over Vermont, 48 point win over Howard). Hopefully, this proves to be a good bounce-back after the letdown in the opener.

Also, I forgot about this in the wake of the last game, but it's good to see Matt Knowling back and healthy.

Teams who play badly lose games. Dartmouth played tough D and hit shots, Yale did not. Simple as.

I'm going to reject the Bill Parcells adage about how you are your record and predict that Yale gets its act together going forward. But I am very surprised by this start to the season.

I hope that you're right. (I also think they will, for the record.) But they'd best not dig themselves too big of a hole before they get it together.

Penn started its league season 0-2 and 3-6 in ‘19 and made the tournament. But none of those losses were to teams as D-I bottom-of-the-barrel as this year’s Columbia or Dartmouth.

Heck, in 2017, didn't Penn start 0-6, make Ivy Madness and almost knock off Princeton? Expecting a heavyweight fight in New Haven tonight.

Stunning. Heading into the Ivy I regarded Yale as the best team in this league by a margin.

Agreed. Dartmouth may also be better than advertised.
They played Cornell tougher than Penn did.
